Sun seeker is so helpful for planing when to shoot photographs or film. Weather it is exterior or interior locations. You can predict when the best light is going to be for you to capture the light, that you need to tell your story. It tells you the position, the direction and hight of the Sun. Is particularly helpful to give you this information for sunrises and sunsets.
You can then schedule your day for when you’re going to do particular shots. It is very accurate and you could organise the exact time went to photograph.

Great app. One of my favourite apps.
I’ve used for years now. Great when I was looking to buy or rent a house to see how much sun / shade I’d get at various times of the year.
Also great when I go camping to pick the spot with morning light and good daytime shade

Look to the sky- know what its plans are.
I love this app so much! I use it mostly to determine sun and shade areas but it’s so much more! For homeowners, for professionals, it allows you to perform any job, and determine the perfect amount of sun or shade, from Treeheights, to shape and angle correctly, basically the same instrumentation they use for determining if your houses ready for solar panels-it’s the same level of instrumentation they would use, you can find out their requirements and beat them to the punch, or make sure your chicken coop is facing the right direction The entire world requires sun and shade, just tells you exactly where and when it’s going to be. For everything! Proper shading for a Koi fish ponds. It just goes on and on and it’s so simple. Camping sites, it’s important for everything! The proper direction your house should be positioned . Where your window should be. It never stops the use for a solar compass- Plan your habitat in advance, For the life around you, and for your own- BH

Killer App for Kanarraville - Annular Solar Eclipse
It is still working great for this November 2019 Transit of Mercury! I recently purchased and installed this app on a 3Gs running the updated iOs without mishap. Last weekend, our group of five went to Utah for the annular solar eclipse on 20 May 2012. In Kanarraville, Utah, this app enabled me to accurately predict where the Sun would set. I accomplished this feat without practice and with an unfamiliar horizon. Bravo! Update 2014 This app is still going strong for me. Sun Seeker is a valuable tool for astrophotographers. I use this app often and it is unsurpassed for plotting and framing solar eclipse photographs. Update 2018 SS is getting better as time passes. This augmented reality (AR) app is always great but it a key part of my eclipse observing toolkit. I used it again last summer in Oregon for the total solar eclipse. SS still works fine with my new iPhone 8+ and never seems to crash. The map feature is neat and well executed. Seeing how time affects the azimuth range of the Sun is useful and fascinating. 6*!
This app is still strong in 2024! Finding comets in the glow of sunset is much easier when you know exactly where the sun is going to set.

A must have for photographers
I do photography for a living and this app is an absolute must have! It lets me know where to point when I want to see the sun at a specific spot before the moment comes. It also gives me all the information I need for locating shadows on the map at a location before I get there. It was well worth the money I paid for it!

Great Solar consultation tool
I use this app for consultations with clients. It helps in working out shading losses for my solar designs. It’s also great at working out time of day on satellite images. I believe this is also a great tool for people considering Solar for their home and want to understand the shading impacts and generally how well they can utilise solar energy.

Fantastic app, still impresses people after all this time!
I think I’ve been using this app for over 10 years now. I’m a lighting designer for a wide variety of spaces and buildings, museums and visitor experiences through to public realm and landscape.
After all this time (maybe 10+ years) this simple yet accurate app has impressed client and design team, time and time and time again!
Highly recommend for the fact it is such a minimal amount of clicks or bother to really the fastest and best way to review sun paths in the age of the smart phone.
