Super App with occasional hiccups
2024 December Update: Not sure when this happened, but Glympse no longer sends your location unless it is running in the foreground. This makes it near useless to me now. Typically I’d send the Glympse to my family and then pull up my map app for the trip. Letting Glympse run in the background, so I could navigate highways and traffic with my favorite traffic app. Bummer. Looking for alternatives now. Dropping rating by a star so now rating it at a 3 star app.
2021 Update: My old review below had a request for creating a Glympse for more than 4 hours, they have done that. Not sure which update created this but now the app shows every recipient as NEVER VIEWED even if they have viewed. I get the notifications if they check the link, but the app continues to show them as NEVER VIEWED. A software fix is required.

If I reboot my phone, it starts working properly again--for a time. Then reverts to inaccurate "Glympse sent" messages.

Better by far tracking services
I care less about writing reviews because most these developers put crappy apps out there just to rip unsuspecting potential users of their money, leaving one caught up between sending numerous mails to their dormant support. After losing a lot to these apps, I’ve learned the hard way never again to trust them as regards trying to track a target remotely and getting the job done without going back and forth. I knew my partner had been cheating on me, but i needed proof to back my suspicions. After getting nothing from these apps, i came across a review about a private investigator at EthikalhackingHQ @ gmail •com. All i needed was to see for myself all my ex-partner was doing in the dark, i provided them with the information that was required of me and was assured the rest would be history. To my utmost surprise, reports sent to me after his device was tapped into further confirmed my suspicions as his emails, text messages, socials and hidden media files were confirmatory that he was cheating on me, i was broken and livid because who throws away years of commitment just for pleasure?! All thanks to Gavin for putting in a good one for me, rather than wasting my time and resources on apps that do not work.

Best in tracking
Trying to get private access to my spouse’s device has been impossible because most of these apps need permission from the target before anything can be done. I’ve been through a lot of stress, lost a lot, trying to get results from these apps. I’m writing this so other users will stop wasting their time and resources on trackers that do not work. I got lucky when i saw a review here on the apple app store that talked about a private cyber investigator. After much consideration, i decided to give it a shot. I reached out to them via email at EthikaLhackingHQ @ gmaiL • com. I requested for their cell phone number and gave them a call where they explained the entire process to me and assured me that I’ll get results. We agreed on a fee and within hours they cloned my spouse’s phone. To my utmost surprise i could listen to his calls, read his texts, view his realtime location. It was basically me having complete access to his phone. Everything i saw and heard got me trembling, broke me. Well, I’m grateful i summoned the courage of reaching out to Gavin. Now i know how to go about filing for a divorce without getting burnt.

Excellent tracking service

One of the biggest fears of anyone in long term intimacy with a person, is finding out that their partner has been messing around. It's a dilemma as old as time, and today's technology has made it possible to do that in a whole new variety of ways. If you've noticed some red flags, you may want to confirm your suspicions before confronting or leaving the scoundrel. I got a referral about an ethical team that possesses smart ways to catch infidels in the act led by teamLead, I reached out to them at "FirstGuruHack @ gmail" where I succinctly explained my situation. I needed to see everything on my partner's phone so I went on to make payment. Within few hours, I went on to see everything I wanted to see. It was too unbelievable! I wrote to their email at CybersailHQ @ gmail com i needed to be convinced if my partner was faithful. After employing their services i was skeptical as to if this will really work because, I only, could tell how much the whole thing was getting to me. After information had been gathered up on him, the report sent to me which showed my partner’s pinpoint gps location, deleted photos, videos and text messages further confirmed that my partner had been cheating on me. I couldn’t wrap my head around it… called our engagement off, it was too heavy for me to bear. I’m glad to have gotten a life saving result from their services, I never deserved to be treated in such ill manner, no one deserves such.

Recent update made it worse
My wife and I have been using Glympse for years. It was a great app. A recent update made it less friendly. Now we cannot find where or how to stop sharing before the share time is elapsed. Also, for the first time ever, it gave me a dialog box that said sharing will only occur while Glympse is in the foreground. So I was driving and constantly making sure it stayed on in the foreground. I never had to think about that before. Overall, I think Glympse updates location more frequently than Apple’s FindMy so Glympse is very useful.

New Update Needs to Go
My family and I have been using Glympse for about 8 years. We have never wanted to use Life360, but have peace of mind by knowing where we all are when we are traveling, especially my siblings and I to and from college. Since we have a decent sized family, I usually share my location with 8-10 people. This new update only displays the most recent 5 people, which is inconvenient since we all send our locations to more than 5 people. It is also difficult to search for the people I send my location to as my contacts are NOT in alphabetical order on this app. This has made it incredibly more difficult and inconvenient to find everyone I send my location to since this update. I can search for each person’s name, but the process of adding everyone I need to used to take 5-10 seconds, and now takes well over a minute or two.
This new update is also confusing to navigate for my family. It is NOT user friendly anymore and we are considering finding a new app to share our location with.

Great app for all platforms
I love that the notifications this app sends out can be viewed on all platforms even if they don’t have the Glympse app themselves.
The most recent updates rightfully restore the usefulness of the main Glympse button at the bottom of the screen, however I really think they need to bring back a way of just looking at the map to see if anyone has viewed your Glympse. They used to have a little number would appear to show how many people had viewed it and now you have to tap the screen and find that information which is dangerous when you’re driving.
