Update is a dud
New version is like most Chinese products looks good but has no substance underneath. Update hangs, fails to refresh and is extremely slow
Now Doesn't Work
I enjoyed reading the Chinese perspective and used the old version frequently. Now it will only open and does not bring up any news. I have deleted the app, re-downloaded and re-installed. I do not know what is happening but it would be nice to have it fixed. I am running 3Gs with iOS 4.3.2. Please repair quickly and I'll change my rating!

Fox news on steroids!
This is propaganda - what's wrong with 'the west' what's right with China. But propaganda is alive and well in the press of many countries thanks in particular to the M word. CD is an important if dismal read to stay abreast and to keep the faith in democracy despite its flaws.

Great news app
As an international business student, I like to keep up on events in China. I've enjoyed this free app so far. I haven't come across any obviously "biased" articles yet. Each country has their own views, and I'm actually surprised how open the reporting is relative to what I was told about Chinese media. It's interesting to read about an event on here and then compare it to the same news topic on my USA Today app. Great app for the price. (free)

Take it from an expert
Take it from a political scientist. China daily is a great way to know what is going on in china. This and xinhua are the two best sources. Your reviews are for the app, not for china's political decisions. They may not tell you about the bad things they do, but neither does the US. If you actually read the stories in this app you'll find they are informative reports on real news. If you want to fond out bad stuff then google it.

No news agency is free from bias... I love China & America... I live in both places. I am fortunate to be a part of both places! Anyway, Chinese news outlets never claim to be fair and unbiased unlike the news organizations in America...you know, like the ones sucking Democrat pee pee's.

It's good to have a Chinese perspective on the news. The interface is very fast and clean. I wish there were offline viewing available.
