Review.
In General I love this manual, because as a retired nurse I love to review and brush up on the basics. However on occasion I do not get directed to what I search for and I think because what I ask does not fit the discription I use?
Superb reference
Authoritative. Current. Can’t beat the price!
First resort
This is a super useful first resort for medical information, and when I want more detail its discussions point the way.
Great app.
I’m not in the medical profession, but this app and the hard copy provide valuable information especially with all the untrustworthy material on the internet.
Helps me to understand
Going through several procedures for rare disorders is a little easier to take because I can read here in the Merck Manual at my leisure and in a study mode.
Clear, authoritative, Medical. No Ads.
Unlike WebMD and many other apps and websites
Crashes when in search
Keeps crashing in search. App is up to date.
Search for the word “Flea“
Search for the word “Flea“ causes both the consumer and professional versions to crash. Same search in the veterinary version brings articles with the word in it.
By“Crash“ I mean that the search inside the application aborts and control is returned to the previous screen before the application started.

Response from developer
Thank you for your feedback. Please update the app and see if that resolves the issue with search. If you continue to have issues, please contact us directly at merckmanualsinfo@merck.com.
Intuitive Searches
Would appreciate a more intuitive approach to queries that may not point directly to some content. i.e. “Bone Spur” goes nowhere.
Dr Emmer
Merck is the best. I’ve tried them all in 28 years as a physician.
