Reviews of CBS News

  • Poor Reporting

I thought that CBS could be trusted to report unbiased reporting but you proved me wrong. Reporting that Trump said that he said he was against a woman’s right in the abortion issue is incorrect. To paraphrase he said something like “I will have get to you on that”, and is not a declaration of being against it even with a clear video that CBS provided. CBS however, decided it was. He did come back in a short amount of time with another statement that again that did not say he was against it. I believe that he has stated he was for the individual states to decide when asked prior. He did not say that he was against it, for it NOR has given the stance regarding the states deciding at any time during the report of this day. The issue has been misrepresented and therefore is bias reporting. This was repeated by the anchors. Now this does not represent how I feel on the issue of female rights in any way. I am a well educated woman and do not want my decision made for me by CBS. I thought better of you. It’s a shame that bias reporting was provided. I am disappointed
  • Weather information is poor replacement

The weather information is a poor replacement for the weather app, which was intuitively designed, easy to use, and I was able to see the local weather forecasts without having to search and scroll. I’ve tried to use the CBS News app for this purpose, but just don’t like it.

I use/view weather and news information differently, as I’m sure a lot of others do, and clearly that wasn’t considered. When I want weather information, I’m usually trying to plan my day, so I was to quickly access it, find the latest forecast and what I can expect for the day. When reading news, I have more time and will scroll around a bit more, which is how this app is set up.

What a terrible business decision, to drive away users/viewers by sunsetting the weather app and trying to force people to get weather from a news app.

  • Terrible to sunset cbs dfw

If I could leave you a minus review I would. The cbs dfw weather app worked great, faster more up to date than any of my friends, could track weather in multiple cities. The best. It says it’s now sunset and made me get this app. Now I have to sort through articles and ads and I cant customize weather and worst of all when I click on like daily forecast it doesn’t work. Looking for a new weather app as I write this. The arrogance you have is mind blowing who cares about live streaming in Detroit or New York when you live in Texas. If I want local news I can get it in a 30 second internet search. So disappointed.

5/14 - thank you for the response but I do want to clarify, I only want the weather app back. It was excellent. I can’t believe you are no longer supporting it. The current app you suggest I use does not do what it did and is just not in general not very good. From reading the other recent comments. Many share my pain.

    Developer Response

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your feedback. You can tap on the city in the top navigation (next to Latest). From here you will be able to see your local news including the latest weather.
