  • Use It Daily

I enjoy using this app daily. I like the side by side of more than one version and I even purchased another version that was not for free. You can take notes and I’m sure I’m not even utilizing all it has to offer.
There were a few glitches: when a version was no longer free, there would be a blank space where it once was and I couldn’t simply close the gap and the version I purchased wouldn’t show up at all. Once I emailed them they responded quickly (had to uninstall, then install again) and it worked. I use this on my IPad.

  • NIV84?

Was wondering if the NIV on here is the 84 or 2011 update?
  • Greek Received Text

I have been using this app for many years. It's my quickest reference tool for Hebrew and Greek. I would love to see also supplied the Greek Received Text if at all possible.

    Developer Response

Hi Parushrestah, you ask a good but rather broad question. Most of your question is answered in the Mini-book "Guide to the Manuscripts Panel" available in the in-app store but I'll do my best to digest the answer. If you are referring to the class of Greek text known as the "Majority Text," you are in for a happy surprise because you already have it. To access it, unhide the Manuscripts Panel and the "Majority Text" is the 2nd line of every verse (the 1st line is the "Critical Text"). If your question is more specific, then I must first say that the "Majority Text" as a category of texts consists of 3 specific text editions: the Byzantine-Priority Text, the Received Text, and the actual Majority Text edition. All three of these are generally considered the Received Text because the Received Text is distinguished by its overwhelming preference for the Byzantine text readings and the actual Majority Text counts the readings and the Byzantine texts are by far the largest number of textual readings available. Spectrum Bible provides the Byzantine-Priority (edited by Robinson & Pierpont) as the representative Received or Majority Text as the 2nd line of each verse in the Manuscripts Panel. Now, if your question is more specific still, and your are asking for the actual Received Text edition (a.k.a. Textus-Receptus), then you probably know that there is only a handful of differences between it and the Byzantine-Priority text but are interested in those differences. If that is your request and you sent your request to support@wavestudybible.com I would be glad to add your request to our pool of future work. Also, if you are not aware how to unhide the Manuscripts Panel, send that question to the same location and I can take more time with the answer.
  • Boo on Update

Whatever this latest update is, it is not very user friendly. I was using the Spectrum parallel Bible app for my daily Bible reading/study with success. Now after the update, I cannot even locate the Bible part to study. Will delete app if not fixed soon.
  • Best Bible App

This is the best Bible app I’ve used, and I’ve used many.

Love this app. It so easy to use and love getting so many translations. I've had another Bible app but finally deleted it because I wasn't using it. Thanks.
