breeds missing.....
It's a nice toy, but I wouldn't pay for it again.
And that's not only because my dog (a Parson Russell Terrier) is not in there as a breed. :P
Useless for people that already have a dog - you're much better off reading up on that breed on wikipedia or buying a book.
It might be of some help to people who want to get a dog and are clueless about breeds.... but there again I would hope that noone buys a dog based on the information found in this application, as it is pretty superficial, and not particularly accurate.Show lessBlossum78

As a dog owner, competitor in companion events and former breeder this program was not as good as I'd hoped, particularly given the wonderful reviews others gave it. While the available info seems on point for some of the breeds I looked at, other of the info is completely confusing. What is one to make of the final summary sentence for (just an example) the Afghan: "Afghan Hounds display independent and sensitive spirits, making cherished pets when their fine coats receive plenty of grooming attention." Does grooming have something to do with their independence or sensitivity? Just makes no sense. Also, some of the pictures don't really show you what the dog looks like (see, for example, the Australian Shepherd where the dogs are sitting and you can't see a nice profile of the dog at all). I though Fetch worked fairly well and came up with reasonable dogs for folks to consider, but that Groom didn't at all do what it said it would.Show lessStillwater
Perfect Dog app for kids and adults: learn every about every dog for a penny per breed!
I can't get my kids to give me back my iPhone. They are addicted to Dog Show! They have already picked out our next breed(s) and they love learning all about the different dogs. Unluck the other dog apps in the store, this one has excellent photography and terrific descriptions of each breed (other apps just cut and paste bogus wiki info and pics). Another awesome feature is that the app will **read** all the text to you. It is not some robot voice either but actual professional, recorded audio. The audio is helping my daughter to learn to read. Finally, the search engines are revolutionary and really return amazing results. Great app!
I was having difficulty choosing which type of dog to buy. I couldn't pick between a lab or a boxer. Luckily for me I found this app, and it picked a beagle for me based on my preferences.
I ran out the next morning to buy my beagle, Ralph and I could not be happier.
