Fantastic!

Really found this app to be helpful, up to date and accurate for the region we were in.

Out of date!

Doesn't even list half the wineries in the region. Don't waste your money.

Great App!!!

Excatly what I was looking for!!

Only thing missing is the ability to "scan" a upc to quicly update "Your wines" but I'm sure that is already on the wishlist as this is so complete otherwise.

I love it!!

Gets better with every update

Early on the accuracy on the map was not so good (the pin for blasted church was in Skaha Lake) but it's much better now. The contact info is very helpful, as are the wine shop hours. It's good to see comments and ratings from other people and I've entered a few wines myself. This app is easy to enter wines, although I don't really use that feature in any wine app since I have a notebook, which is still faster than fighting autocorrect on the little iPhone keyboard. Maybe I'll ditch the notebook when I get an iPad. Since i live in the okanagan, i don't really use this app to find my way around, but I bought the Ontario version for when I'm touring out there so I'll lean on that one a little more then.

Good!!

We love BC & it's wonderful to find an app specifically for it. Thanks.

I'd love to see some of the suggestions previous posters have mentioned.

A very good start & I lome it a lot!

Need to test data retention b4 upgrades

This app was great for a recent trip to the okanagan. Loaded 18 wineries worth of tasting notes, little over 100 individual entries. This was great until I just upgraded...blew away everything... Thanks great work so glad u tested
that, figure it out before providing updates!

Disappointed

Some of my favourite BC wineries are missing from this app, with no way of adding a new winery when you add a wine. I thought the app would list the wines that each winery offers, but nope! You have to add all wines yourself. But when you do, you'll be frustrated to see that there's no rosé and no fruit wines, just red and white.

All this app does is provide some (not all) winery addresses and hours... I can do that for free with the Yellow Pages app. If you are a true BC wine enthusiast, this app is not worth your money.

Great little app. Needs some additions for 1.1 update

Right off the bat, I like it. Clean, easy, nicely integrates with GPS and mapping. Very strong, solid potential for being an amazing resource. Not sure about the original comments though, concerning adding your own wine ratings. Yes, you can add a list of your favourite wines that you've tasted, but I can't see anywhere to add scores or notes.

Improvements to make this app just that little bit better:

- under Your Wines: adding a wine produces four text fields: Name, Year, Winery, Varietal.
-- add a prompt for "next" when adding text, rather than "save" every time.
-- where can we add our own scores? Toggle between 5 stars, 10-point system, 100-point system would be great
-- where can we add our own notes?
-- would love to be able to take and attach a photo for saved wine notes
-- would love to be able to add how many bottles of each wine I bought, and what price I paid, for future reference for telling friends
-- first wine I added did not save for some reason
-- all Your Wines menu items (Alphabetical, Varietal, Winery, Rating, Favorites - spelled American I might add) lead to the four aforementioned text fields. Somehow I thought items like Rating and Favorites would be an aggregate list of top scorers from previously added wines

- under Wineries:
-- should break the regions down a little farther under Area menu item - how about appellations or at least geographical boundaries: Naramata, Summerhill, Okanagan Falls, etc.

Would love a future version to integrate somehow with a cellar database so saved (or purchased) wines could be archived for future reference.

Just what I needed

Last summer the wife and I started touring the okanagan wineries. Half way through I realized I had forgotten the qualities of the wines I had already sampled and realized I needed a way to keep track. Now I've found Wine Tripper and it's exactly what I needed.

With this app I can not only find all the great BC wineries - many of which I never knew existed - but I can track them and their great wines!

Now when I go out I can easily look up the wines I've sampled, and add to that list with my ratings and thoughts. It allows me to easily find all the wines I've liked and want to try again. It's a must have for BC wine lovers!
