  • Needs to get the basics right first

I only played 1 game on my iPhone4 and then gave up. The tap response accuracy on the 1-9 buttons is poor; it would often put the adjacent number to the one I tapped, and it could take upto 4 or 5 taps before it registered the right digit. The 3, 4, and 5 buttons also had the additional hazard of preferring the 'hint' button. I'd tried another Sudoku app and didn't have these issues, so it's this app at fault.

  • LOVIN IT!!!!

I love how you can make your own sudoku quizzes and it lets you do them!! How many sudoku apps let you do that!!! It's one of my favorite apps I have. I also love how when you touch a tiny square, it highlights the big sqare and the vertical and horizontal line so you can look for the number you want to enter and see if it could work.

  • The app us terrible!

When I downloaded this app I thought it would be fun until I realized how awful the controling was! But I still had pretty good graphics
  • Probably my favorite Sudoku app

This is a great Sudoku app. I've tried a couple others, but this is the one I like best. The graphics are good, the controls are responsive and the camera capture is a neat touch. Probably going to give the paid version a try, I think.

    2.1:
    - The new pencil mark removal is awesome!

    2.2.1:
    - Glad the iPad works properly now!

  • Doesn't work right on iPad

Works great on iPhone but buggy on iPad.
  • Well made Sudoku app

Very cool pattern recognition taking pictures from a magazine which worked when I tried it.
  • Five stars for a freebie

I give this free version 5 stars. It plays excellently and everytime I have used the capture option it has done it perfectly. This is also a great gadget to show off to your mates with if you are sad like me! I would definately pay for the full version if it was a little cheaper but at the moment I think it is too expensive so stick with this until they lower the price.

  • Be careful...

I've just installed the Lite version and even though it's free and the content is great, I feel that the adverts should be at the top as i keep hitting the small buttons for the pen/pencil/eraser mode and can't help think this is a scam. I'm all for adverts don't get me wrong, you have to make your money somehow but getting users to press these frequently used buttons to get them to click on the adverts is not cool!! Either that or I have the fattest fingers in the land!!!

  • Key features missing

This is a very pretty app but alas, key features are missing.
    1) No UNDO button! This alone is a killer - it's impossible not to make at least one button-pushing error, which can easily wipe out a cell's worth of hard-won pencil notes
    2) Awkward mode buttons: Instead of a 1-button toggle, this app has three *tiny* buttons that alternately select add-note / solve-cell / erase-all-notes mode. There's no need for 3 modes, it just wastes badly-needed screen real estate.
    3) Can't disable row/column highlighting, which I find very distracting. The dark highlight color doesn't help either, the result is visual confusion.
    4) It's slow to load (on my antique 1st gen iPhone, that is)

Check out Enjoy Sudoku instead: not nearly as pretty, but with a *perfect* UI and feature set.

  • Don't appriciate apps calling me cheater

The hint and solve buttons are practically on top of the 1-5 buttons. So if you accidently bump one while solving the game calls you a cheater! Perhaps a confirmation that you really want a hint would solve this. In the mean time I'm playing something else
