For free, it is brilliant...
I am a tunrtablist, I have battled in DMC competitions so I know scratching. For free, this is brilliant fun. It has a few different loops for you to scratch over, you can use the collection of classic battle weapon samples or record your own and scratch that.

Downloaded this expecting nothing...was VERY suprised. I had the old app named scratch which was really something just to show people. But this app, BABY Scratch..i can actually emulate scratching on a turntable and transform, etc. If that Flare Scratch allow you to add your own beat I will purchase!!

Let your inner DJ free
I always wanted something like this but never found it. I don't usually write reviews but this is too fun not to. I spent the first half hour scratching away on external speakers. You can get good and if I had turntables I know this is what I'd be doing.

Picked this up after grabbing the bigger (& Better flare app) app outta curiosity to see what else these guys had going.
Personally prefer the other art style myself but I do like the larger buttons, makes it heaps easier to do stuff.
I'd say definitely try this to get a good taste of a reasonably decent scratch sim. Has the same nice sound as their $10 option flare scratch & costs nothing. Can't load up your own music though like you can in the flare one.
Have to ask when is the more expensive offering getting the sampler? It's a hell of a lot of fun & would make the other one near perfect!

1st DJ scratch app I've liked from da app tienda!!! It's very user friendly! I'm tellin' ya pana if you can make it so you could play your own joints wit this, you gonna blow up pana!!! I would pay 10 bones for an update like dat, trust the fact!!! Nice work!!! Valla en Paz!!!
This is really cool!
I love this little app - the developer has done a great job! I have a-lot of fun with this, and although I'm no DJ Shadow I can now scratch like a demon with this app! It has a selection of nice little 'battle' samples to use and recording your own voice seems to work well too (although the gap between the sample finishing and starting again could be a bit closer together when you record your own).
Keep up the good work - not sure why the low reviews, no problems over here, works perfectly every time for me!
Other suggestions would be:
- Allow you to 'restart' the battle sample record: so I can be half way through and go back to the start easily.
- Allow you to 'pick' one sample to scratch with that just gets repeated on the 'record', rather than have all the battle samples (it would be even cooler if you could 'pick' which samples you wanted to use out of the selection - or even create your own 'playlist' with samples repeated etc
I would give it 5 stars if I was able to at-least re-start the sample record... it's very close to 5 stars anyway... just buy it!

Best free scratch app out there!
This is a great app if you like to scratch, the control is the most responsive I've seen - the closest to the real thing I have experienced on the Iphone/Itouch.
Get it while it's free! If you want to scratch over your own Itunes library get Mixmeister (free) - this one is better for just chilling out and scratching some classic sounds.

Snappy and Awesome
I've been scratching vinyl for a while and am super impressed by this app. The tracking is super snappy and the scratch sound is right on. You can do backspins, tapping delays and more. Being able to record your own stuff is rad too and really useful if you record music and need a little scratch to make you itch.
The only thing that would make it better is if the volume fader was easier to operate (probably just needs to be bigger with a faster cut-off curve) and if the mute button was reversed. These are both features for folks with turntable experience who are used to a mixer. Still, I'll give it 5 stars cuz it's really cool.

Awesome!!!! The custom voice scratch was genius! But It stays a four star until we are able to scartch our own songs
Great since update
Baby scratch is now working perfect. A great little sampler working as advertised since update. Super fast scratch engine, swell interface, easily worth the two bucks. If you wanna sample anything quickly and turn it into some freshness Baby Scratch is right on!
