I used this app for years with no problems. Absolutely loved it. But i find alot of times its off by 180degrees now. Dtill helpfull but i constantly have to check it against a real compassOlt man

App is way wrong
Using this in Honolulu at sunrise, lat & long. is correct but the app, when one aligns the compass to N shows sun coming up from the West! Compass app that comes with the iPhone is correct. Guess which I’ll be using?'60Viking

This is a powerful app with a whole book dedicated to its capabilities.
Trying to use this app to save a position then guide you back is not reliable. It will often point you in a direction that is inaccurate by 180°. Recommend, but beware of its inaccuracy if you're relying on it for more than curiosity and amusement.

Usually the compass accuracy is fine outdoors and only a basic figure 8 motion is enough to calibrate it. However, in buildings and vehicles the accuracy can be low due to interference, magnets, big metallic objects and so on. Being aware of that I designed the app in a way to overcome hardware accuracy issues. First, you can always verify the direction accuracy against a celestial object such as the Sun, the Moon or a star. Second, there are several compass modes available, including special: 1) (pure) magnetic - copies iOS stock compass and shows what the hardware tells; 2) (uncalibrated) gyrocompass - a gyroscope assisted magnetic mode (recommended as default); 3) calibrated gyrocompass - to measure or to take direction; 4) car - GPS compass mode that uses the movement course for use in vehicles or while walking. It does way more than I know what to do with. I use it for deer hunting to find spots I’ve tagged deep in the woods. These spots are not easy to find without this app as the terrain changes from year to year due to clear cutting. This app always gets me where I need to go. I highly recommend.Scbastve
needs an easier delete button
I’m still looking for a delete or remove function to get rid of points or locations I don’t need anymore.
Having to sift thru useless points to find important ones can take time,
so an easy Remove/Delete Waypoint/Location
feature would be highly beneficial.The Regent

The UI redesign is planned for the 2018 and will bring much of usability improvements. Until then you can use the "pencil" button at the bottom of the waypoint list for easier deletion of waypoints.Extremely Slow to locate your correct location on map.
