  • Nice app

So easy to use instead of the bulky controllers
  • It’s ok..

It’s an ok app, but its quirky. For example if I shut a train down completely, turn off the lights and everything and release it, then close out the app, the train lights will come on. The interface is dated, and there is no option to turn off track power. You still need to do that from the controller. I’m really apprehensive in buying the full app because of the quirkiness. Other than that and other small things, it’s not a bad app.

  • Excellent

I am in the process of building a very large multi deck layout. I had planned for WiFi throttles in my original design along with my Digitrax system. I had tried a couple other apps first and couldn’t get them to work with my LNWI but WiThrottle Lite worked like a charm the first try. I actually get a better throttle response with the app than I’d do with my handheld Digitrax throttles.

  • You get what you pay for

This app is great but it can be a little laggy on older devices. (iPhone 5s and iPod Touch Gen 6) There were many times where I had to restart the app. Otherwise, it is great because I could go and mess with a switch or derailment and not have to worry about the limit of the cord or the cord getting caught in other things on the layout.

  • Great App!

This is a very handy app for controlling trains on my home layout, and on my club’s layout. I use it all the time on my iPhones at home via JMRI when I have friends over for an operating session on my NCE PowerCab layout with limited number of cabs.
I also use it on my iPhone at my club’s layout. I am even thinking about purchasing the full app so I can do consisting at the club.
I would give it 5 stars if it could work landscape on my iPad mini.

  • Very easy to use.

Great app. Very easy to use and configure. I have digitrax and use their LNWI adaptor. My grand kids like using the spare iPhone better than the regular throttles. I like that all the functions, the F1-F20 keys are separate. No need to use shift key. Very handy at acquiring and releasing engines. Now I need more iPhones.

  • Great DCC accessory

I use mine via Decoder Pro (another great free download using JMRI - that in turn connects to my “Sprog” interface, do you have a Full DCC set up for around £50 and you see it all on a screen.
  • Can’t use two trains

The app is great but I can’t operate two trains because the full version is $13. I would pay to use dual trains but not $13!
  • Very pleased.

A friend loaned me his Digitrax LNWI so I could try this app. Tech support helped me figure out a glitch - I was losing the signal if I closed my iPhone 8 screen. Sometimes when I woke it up, it was logging back on to my home router b/ I had the setting for it as “automatically join”. I’m very pleased. Plan to look at what the full version offers.

  • WiThrottle Lite

This is an excellent throttle for anyone using JMRI with their DCC layout. Easily control engines and sound with lite version. Good way to put those old iPhones to use as wireless throttles. Very customizable.
