  • Used to be good

It was a great app but it looks like they stopped updating it. Now the gestures have a serious delay after you swipe. Bought it for driving so I wouldn’t have to look down. Since it doesn’t respond for a long time, I have to look down to see what it’s doing. May as well look down to use the native music app.

  • Essential app

This app is simply amazing! It’s particularly good for driving. The only slight criticism is that there’s a bit of a delay with anything you do.. it’s like skip track and wait 5 seconds
  • Sarah

Incredibly slow to change songs when swiping. Not worth the money.
  • Best Music Player on iOS!

Please add iPhone X support for disabling autolock.
  • Almost perfect

This is a great app which makes using the music player in the car safe and easy to skip tracks and adjust volume etc. Just swipe the screen to change tracks or flick up or down to change volume. There a several apps that do this, however this is the best overall I’ve found so far.

However I think the main thing which needs improving is the speed of skipping tracks and the pause/unpause. When you skip tracks it brings up an unnecessary (and probably reason for delay) ‘forward track’ screen which is annoying when skipping through a lot of tracks. With the pause button there is a small delay but an even bigger delay when you unpause it.

So a few small bugs which you can live with. The developer I think has put too much into making it look nice and giving many options for changing display and fonts, but the forward track feature is holding it back. But if the developer fixes those then this is an easy 5 Star app any day.

  • Great for the car

Landscape mode and simple touch gestures make this great for the car. Some controls could be larger, hence 4 stars.
  • Is this an Apple Music alternative?

    Not completely.
It will display lyrics for copied music, while Apple's app won't, but the major problem is it is energy hungry. Battery drained to 20% in 4 hours.

Not going to be a keeper unfortunately.

    Developer Response

As already explained, keeping the screen on to display lyrics will drain your battery quick especially you have music playing too. Even an app that does not nothing but display a blank screen will drain your battery quick if the screen is kept on. Few tips to improve your battery life (although 4 hours with the screen on and still 20%? I'm impressed!): - Lower the brightness. - turn on Low power mode. - if not being used, turn off bluetooth, wifi or cell data.
  • This Music App Should Be The Native App for iDevices!

The sorry native music app that iPhones/iPads have should be replaced in its entirety with something like this.
  • So far so good.

Just opened it while listening to iTunes. Biggest difference right at first is a better sound. It sounds tighter, more distinct, subtle yet powerful, too.

I will have to get used to the controls. Where buttons take you is different. But, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I do like the artist's online sites presented all on one screen. So, far, though, it doesn't seem to go from one screen to the next, & back. Not sure there is a forward & back command that fluidly takes you back & forth. It seems to go into where you want to go, said artist links screen, then you go somewhere in that screen, but when you come back you have to start over from the home screen, not the last screen you were in.

I do like the custom skins. The car gestures are good too.

Bottom line, I like it enough to continue to use it instead of iTunes. I want to see more. It's good enough to give it that. If it gets better the more I play it, I'll leave another review.

  • Nice car music player!

I love this music player for my car since 1) it's much easier using gestures to control the app than finding the buttons while driving, 2) it displays correctly upside down! (That's the orientation I store my iPhone in the cup holder when plugged in.) It also finds lyrics on the web on request (although I don't read lyrics while driving, you can set a gesture to instantly show lyrics).
