Great product and service
After trying several different recording apps for the iPhone I have found this to be the best overall package, the iPhone app gives great recording quality and will handle very long recordings with ease, it is well integrated into the desktop application and allows several different methods of file transfer. I had a problem with transferring files and the people at Nsaka fixed it within a few hours. Highly recommended.Show lessFrancisN

The way an app should be done.
Suggestions:
1. 'undo' or 'previous marker' without leaving the recorder (erase or to record over last) -saves time.
2. line in level adjustability.at home

Really useful professional piece of software
With a small plug in mic records broadcast qaulity material that i send back to the studio quickly and easily.
Versatile enough so you can edit short clips on the go in a hurry or send the whole interview back via wifi or 3G.

Not quite perfect- here's why
Hindenburg Mobile.
Designed as a radio interview app, HM has some of the most extensive recording and editing features of all the voice recorders in the app store. The list of features is awesome, and can be seen in the app description.
It can :
• record, playback, edit prev recordings, has a stretchable realtime waveform that allows exact editing.
• can insert and append. ( Insert only by recording a segment, cutting, and pasting it.)
• Can locate down to individual words, which, in turn, allows you to place markers that are bookmarks, (listed and can be edited)
• mark sections exactly so can be cut, copied, pasted anywhere, or saved as favourites.
• can fade segments in, out and crossfade
• can mark segments and adjust segment volume
• Has file transfer facilities.
• has volume boost control, so playback volume is very good.
• each time you start and stop it marks that bit as a "take", so can be used as a Things to do list. When done, tap, and cut to remove it.
What it CAN'T do:-
• Can't insert a segment directly in a recording. A most useful feature that is missing. You have to record a segment at the end, cut, locate the place to insert, and paste.
• no voice activated recording. You have to start and stop if you are looking up notes, or thinking about what to say next. You can mark and cut blank sections later, but this is tedious.
Needs a variable input volume threshold setting when VAR added.
That's it. Everything else is there! With the addition of these two features, it would have everything possible in a recorder. You wouldn't need any other. Worth the money!Show lessCapital O
Awesome app!
Hindenburg Mobile is an awesome app! It's like having an editing deck in your phone. I've been a recording engineer / Producer since the 70s and this is one of the coolest things I've used to create audio product. Combine that with the fact that the developer is super responsive to customer questions makes this an incredible app for those who depend and getting the audio right for a living! From communicating with the Dev. I get the feeling that there not just stopping with v1 and that the desktop app is also evolving. The best by far.
This is by all measures a stunning piece of software and by far the best recording application in the App Store. It has a clean interface, remarkably easy to use and yet it allows complex and perfectly accurate audio editing. As a radio journalist, it gives me everything I need, from AAC audio compression to WAV perfection, from FTP uploading to audio file attachment emailing, from location tracking to real time monitoring, from sound bite selection to audio scrubbing. Most importantly, I’ve been using it for weeks on the field and it has never crashed on me. If you are serious about recording, get a good external microphone and buy this application. There is no going back to a portable recorder. My Sony PCM-M10 has been in the drawer for weeks now.Show lessuspino
Oh SNAP!!! Finally!!!
I can't believe it's taken this long for there to be an audio app that gives you this much control. I first downloaded the free beta desktop companion app and it was very intuitive and stable. Decided to give the iphone app a whirl and am thrilled to finally have this level of audio recording control and editing in my pocket!
I was looking for something to use for editing interviews for audio blogging while on the road, and I think I've finally found it.
