This app is a unicorn among horses
For only two bucks, this whimsical app makes me giggle every time I go driving. The realistic sounds and boost gauge are especially useful in distracting toddlers and male passengers, which lets me focus on not crashing my car. I have to give mad props to the way it employs the iPhone's built-in accelerometer to calculate how my engine turbo boosts as I drive. I don’t even know how that’s possible, since I drive an automatic. It’s like these Bonobo Labs folks know magic. Sure, the developers could be using their time to find the cure for cancer, but this is more fun! (And for folks on the fence about downloading this app, well—the naysayers who rated it 1 didn’t take the time to read the fine print. It works just fine on the 3G.) So get this app now. Great idea! I thought it does a very good job with only sometimes being affected by bumps in the road, I'm a dev myself so I know how hard it can be working with the accelerometer, well done!

Really nice looking app and works perfectly in my honda civic. Very accurate when driving around, I reccomend this for anyone that loves cars and wants a good laugh! Sound quality is also very good, quite loud and clear from just the iPhone 3G speaker. Would love to see even more features added in the future, thanks very much!Show lessnegativecamber22

Delicious.
I'm not much of a revhead, but the pure novelty value of this fun little app is enough to make me start it up nearly every time I drive anywhere. So often these 'just for fun' apps compromise on style, but that's not the case here; the black/white/day/night settings are each beautiful in their own right, and the delicious sound effects make me as happy as the first time I opened a Tapbots app. Simple enough that you know it doesn't take it too seriously, but customisable enough that you'll be playing with it for hours, I really can't recommend this app enough.Show lessstepwise_squire
