This apps Support page shows iChat. iChat is not supported in most recent Mac OS. Get with it. It is FaceTime now. FaceTime will see mobiola 's mic which is better than nothing I suppose. Same with skype it "see's" the mic but not the phone.
Obviously the developer hasn't put the work in to support changes made in mountain lion.
You can record video to qt movie but only at medium or low not hi. If you try recording hi Rez the computers app crashes.
Not good enough especially for the price! It should be $1 not $5.
I give it one star for work done and another star for its potential. This could be a great app if it worked fully at all resolutions. Improve it and take it to its full potential please!!!Show lesssunnfish

Better than my web cam
Not had any problems, tested it live side by side same time using built cam on my laptop , and was surprised it performed better in low light ,image was crisper ,tried it in front & rear cam and it still performed ok. Tried it USB charger lead and it worked also The fact your iPhone can be moved around it doesn't have limitations of what you can stream, but has to be linked to your wifi . We all know iphone has a quality cam so not sure why other user say poor quality must be their wifi or computer mem . It has similar features such as capture cam or record mode. only negative it won't auto connect you have to enter the IP address of your wifi manually each timeShow less30Sumtin

Crap
Slow and poor quality. Even when I create a network on my Mac and connect my iPhone directly to it, the video quality is extremely poor. I can get better quality over a FaceTime call, and this isn't even traveling over the Internet. 1080p and even 720p is useless as the frame rate drops to about 3fps (and that's a pretty generous number). But worse still there is no USB functionality to make up for what's lacking in wifi. On top of that the desktop app is very buggy and has crashed several times in the first few minutes of using it. Don't waste the money. They only reason this deserves 2 stars is because the low resolutions, while being extremely poor quality, still have decent frame rates and it (barely) does what it's advertised. Did everything I wanted it to do, makes a great webcam! You can use it for anything! For those saying it doesn't work remember to download the computer app from their website. When you download the app it gives you the message to do it.Pikajohn
What a great idea!
I've recently been looking for a webcam to use with my external monitor (I can't use the built-in webcam on my laptop as it sits closed underneath the monitor).
Whilst browsing for webcams with good reviews I realised my iPhone 5 probably has a better camera built into it than many of the cheap USB webcams I was looking at (sub £30). I Googled to see if anyone else had thought of this, and found this app.
After looking at the reviews I decided to purchase the app and I'm thrilled with how well it works. I haven't used the full HD setting yet as Medium works just as well for Skype calls. The phone does get marginally warm when in use, but not alarmingly so. The battery went down about 15% after a 20 minute call.
Overall this app does what it says on the tin, the software for the computer is simple and intuitive, and I now have a superb quality webcam, with a built-in microphone, autofocus and no wire - doesn't get any better than that for £2.49!Show lessHogster86
Not bad at all
Had NO problem installing this and the desktop software to my i7 PC running Windows 7. Worked great on Skype and FaceBook video chat and my iPhone also acted as the microphone so the other party could hear me. Thier voice came thru on my PC speakers just fine.
Video wasn't choppy, even at full screen and quality depended on the lighting. It will eat your iPhone battery up but was easy to just plug in the iPhone's USB cable to the desktop and it worked perfectly for a 3 hour video session on FaceBook video.Show lessbillygee55

You can use this as a webcam or a spy cam it streams to your computer anywhere you have wifi or 3G it's great to spy on your siblings to.Carzzz10
