Clunky and poor graphics
This is total rubbish, clunky, slow and poor graphics. Not fun to play.
Buy Backgammon NJ, it is more intuitive, better graphics and the coaching is easier.

Ok game but very unfair
Great game, high skill level. But a MAJOR complaint is a strong bias toward the computer on rolls, which are highly statistically improbable. 4 or 5 doubles in a row, gets off of the bar almost every time, etc. Would be a much better game if it were more realistic in this regard.

Freezes on the latest iOS!! Cannot play anymore - update needed!
Backgammon Coach!!
I don't find this a very user friendly or helpful app. I thought it would lead you through the game from a beginner level but it doesnt.
Wouldnt recommend this for anyone wanting to learn the game.
Real shame about non-random dice
Dice are ALWAYS in favour of computer - It's a real shame about the dice as there is no way the amount of times that it rolls the EXACT combination required in the computers favour that the rolls aren't factoring in the position of the pips. It makes the game uninteresting when you know it's not a random throw of the dice

After update, the app now allows the checkers to be moved and dice to be set in analysis mode. The analysis feature does not include cube decisions, or the ability to set match score, so there is definitely room to go.
Main reason I got this was for position analysis.... But when I enter that mode it does not let me move any checkers! Also experienced occasional crashing.
That said, the AI is world class.

Ne vaut pas l'investissement, parce que beaucoup trop lent. Le jeu répond aus commandes de manière imprévisible.
De plus, la position de départ devrait pouvoir s'inverser.
