  • Doesn't work

Tried out this app and couldn't get the bar code scan to hardly any wines and tok several tries before it actually saved one. Needs upgrades before this is useful.
  • Not worth the space on tour iPhone

I also entered 3 wine barcodes and got a message saying not found and enter another code. The developers need to enhance their database or use an internet look up like the music apps.
  • Nice

    Seems pretty good.
  • App is not really helpful for me

I entered 3 bar codes and got a "No data available. Enter another bar code" msg. (note: exact wording may have been different, but the message was clear.) My problem is the 3 wines I entered are NOT esoteric or rare wines: Beringer Knights Valley cabernet, Oyster Bay sauvignon blanc, and. You get the point. These were test bottles from my "table wine" rack. Perhaps the particlar vintages are no longer in shops (test bottles were purchased 6 months ago.) whatever, I expected one of these would have been reviewed. Oh well. Thankfully the app is free. So no real loss, just a bit of a disappointment.
  • Best Wine App on iTunes!

Natalie MacLean has composed an app that is everything an oenophile could need. Pairing suggestions for virtually anything, a cellar tracking section, access to her thoughtful wine reviews...you name it, it's all included in this app - for FREE! This is a great resource for wine beginners and wine geeks alike.
  • Nat Decants just got even better

I have a number of wine apps on my iPhone and one or two that I seem to use often. One of them is Natalie MacLean's.

My wife is very good at food and wine pairings but I am not. And because I'm in the wine business, everyone expects me to be this authority figure on all things food and wine. The truth about food and wine pairings for me is that I have no real expertise beyond enjoying well matched cuisine and wine. All I do is quietly refer to Nat Decants and then speak up like the bona fide expert I'm supposed to be. I'm not sure if anyone is wondering exactly how I manage to come up with some suitable suggestion right after glancing at my phone but that's for another day.

Her new app is smart with some great development behind it. I like what natalie MacLean does in the wine world, a lot!

  • A beautiful, comprehensive, streamlined wine/food app!

I just downloaded and installed this new version on my iPod Touch and iPad. I continue to love this wine and food app. Natalie provides such comprehensive information with regard to pairings, reviews, recipes, etc., and I can share what I find via social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook. This new version is even more comprehensive, very streamlined, and also very quick. It's also visually appealing. The performance is amazing. Thank you, Natalie, for continuing to provide such a wonderful app to wine enthusiasts like me.
  • Why bother? Limited selection.

Overall disappointing. Was trying to find wines that paired with fruit or fruit salad and the only choices are pomegranate and raisin dishes.. What?! The glossary which claims it will tell you why wines pair well with something only offers a sentence or two about the wine that is so basic and uninformative it is nearly useless. Two stars but only b/c it has some pairings.
  • Excellent Tool for the Less than savy Wine connoisseur

This app is great for those of us that appreciate a good wine but need a little assiatance pairing the right one with our meals. The fact that it covers everything from Hamburgers to Chicken Marsala makes it useable for all walks of life.

Getting reviews from more midwest US mom and pop wineries would be the only thing that would make it even better.

Thank you for the wonderful tool.
  • Really great!

I am impressed. This app is loaded with features. You really can't go wrong.
