Not great (pas très bien)

The quiz function doesn't include the passé composé. And there appears to be a problem with character display. The "ê"(e circonflexe) character appears as "Ì" (i majuscule accent grave).

Would not recommend

I bought this app to be a good aid to help with French verb conjugation, but found that it lacked the passé compose verb tense (which is commonly used in French). I was also not impressed with the quiz tool because it uses verbs in a way that is not logical (e.g. you rain!)

Cannot recommend at present

Firstly, this app does not work properly in landscape mode on my iPad - the verb change UI appears as if it was in portrait mode. Also, the same UI doesn't work properly - it registers your selection as soon as you have tapped scrolling, which is non-standard.

Onto the app itself. The reference section is OK, but I can already have all that for free on my iPad and iPhone. I bought this app on the strength of the quiz section, and it is poor. For a start, its multiple choice - all of the possible answers are displayed and all you have to do is tap it. This makes it almost impossible to fail - every student of French soon comes to recognise the basic pattern of nous/vous endings, etc. It wouldn't be so bad if it maybe displayed some of the possible answers, but to show them all is ridiculous.

Not only that, but there is no passé compose in the quiz! This is unforgivable.

It's a shame, because this could have been such a nice app. Instead, I feel like I have wasted my money.
