Nothing is free

Not a single thing in the app is free. You might as well ask for the money upfront, instead of listing a free app. No trails or anything.

Free but itโ€™s not. Donโ€™t even attempt to download.

Says itโ€™s free with in app purchases but once you download and sign up to access any content itโ€™s behind a 7.99 monthly paywall. For something with just conceptual flash cards not anywhere close to worth it. PE has way more mathematical problems to work out than these questions.

Not worth $20...

Buyers remorse!

Spend your $20 on a more useful study tool like a practice exam or even a reference to take into the exam.

This app hasn't been updated in years.

Not very helpful for PE exam

I took the test, passed the test and can't say a single flashcard helped on the test. Do practice problems until they seem easy. Dedicate the time and exam day is easy. I did use ppi exam cafe (not an app but web based service) and found the water and soils practice probs very worth while.

Avoid.

With the exception of a minority of the questions (that quiz you on formulas) most of the questions are more or less trivia questions on broad concepts or topics that aren't likely to be on the exam. I would be willing to bet that the makers of this app have never taken the exam, based on how out of touch it is. I really wish I had listened to the negative reviews because now I am out 20 bucks. Buyer beware; it's a good concept but horrible execution.

Nothing like PE exam

The description should say that this is conceptual type questions, all based on theory and only represents a small fraction of what you will see on the exam. Maybe this is worth 99 cents, but not 20 bucks.

Just ok

If you want to cram a lot of extra info this is a big help. It also offers some important equations, but I wish it would offered more in the equation department. Biggest complaint is that the cards don't flip when touched it takes a random # of touches to get the card to flip.

Just what I was looking for all this time!

Larger fonts and shorter concepts would be better though...
Great application!!

Great Idea!

I was hoping to find something like this... I'm usually glued to my ipod bewteen work and leisure, so this is a great way to keep fresh on the concepts while on the go (and without lugging heavy loads of books). $20 seems a little steep, but when you consider the cost of your reference book inventory (mine is near $1000 right now), 20 bucks doesn't seem so unreasonable. Some of the topics seem too detailed, but are nice ideas to throw at you. I'd like to see a little more BASIC theories and concepts. The detailed concepts are good if you're taking that depth section in the afternoon portion of the exam, but seem a little too detailed for the morning breadth section. I'd recommend breaking each subgroup in to breadth and depth sections so that you can refresh in as great of or as little of detail as you wish. Overall, great idea. I'm looking forward to refreshing myself periodically as I prepare for the big exam this April '10. Hope there will be updates to come to have even more material to cover (detailed and simple). Thanks PPI! P.S. I'd also be great to have a digital copy of the CERM for the touch, especially one you could search and recall easily.
