Latency
Not sure if its caused by the app or the device but there's a lot of latency when played back on higher quality speakers. Sounds good on the iPad though. And yes it's true, its really a $2 app. As soon as you hit "email" or "export" it takes you to the store to but an add on. Good but it is really a $2 app
After spending an hour, and a lot of frustration, trying to figure out why my recordings were not syncing back to my Mac, I found out you have to pay an additional $1 to be able to enable the app to export your recordings back to your computer. This should be made clear when buying the program. It's not that two dollars is too much for this app, but you shouldn't be tricked into buying one thing and then having to pay extra (double the initial price) to get what you would expect should have came with the product initially.Show lessRemaxman
Buyer Beware
I purchased this product recorded great BUT beware it will cost you again a one off fee to transfer your recording to your computer which is rediculas you cannot even sync your recording with i-tunes it does not show up. And only when you pay the second time to transfer it, the recording will only be available NOT on itunes but in a folder of your making.
Also it shows you the screenshots of the product and in the middle screenshot showing TAG, Podcast, Interview, etc also a nice notes box which is not on the product you d/l and gives the impression you can rename your voice memo this is NOT so, yes you can rename it when on your computer but not in the program and you cannot put the recording back after its named so I do not know where they got the middle screenshot.Show lessknight1953
Now that I've really used it...
The sound recording quality is excellent, the interface is easy to use.
The only thing that keeps it from being five stars is after paying the .99 to enable the export and share capability, I expected teh advertisement bar to go away.
When I am reading something scripted, it can be very distracting. It is also unprofessional to have the advertiseing bar there when you want to use the product to record others or have others listen to recordings in a business environment.
Please remove advertisement for paid users.

As an app, it does what it says well and is a bargain, but watch out for the sting. If you want to use this app to share your recordings via email, you are expected to pay a fee to unlock this feature. I would have thought it would make more sense to up the price a bit and include this feature from the get go.Show lessDazandroz

PERFECT
I'm an English teacher in China and this app is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I needed something to record practice interview exams with my students, and the iPad has a great little microphone and speaker for recording and playing back their interviews, and the interface couldn't be easier to use. You can even pause the recording in the middle, perfect for me for the part of the interview where the student is given one minute to think about a given topic before speaking for two minutes. This way I don't have a minute of silence in the middle of the recording that I have to fast forward through later. Outstanding! The only thing I can think of that might make it better for me is if the recordings could be organized into folders or something like that. Still a great app though and well worth the $1!!Show lessmiked32
Not a user friendly app when emailing
The makers of this app give the impression that if you pay the extra amount to email your message it's easy....it is NOT! I have a 26 minute message that I'd like to email and after purchasing the app, I'm being given additional instructions and things I have to do to download the file to something else or somewhere else just to email it! I never would have bought the app knowing the difficulty in emailing the thing! Boo hiss! :(. Not user friendly at all! If you JUST want to record and keep the recording on your iPad fine! But if you want to let others hear your recording via email....THIS IS NOT THE APP FOR THAT PURPOSE! :(. A Great App with Amazing Audio Quality
This app is great. I don't use voice memo apps a lot but this one is the one I will turn to the next time I need to create a voice memo. The audio quality is incredible and I just recorded a two second memo to test it. It is truly amazing and i applaud the developer on their work. The $0.99 update is only worth it if you need it.
