My only gripe would have to be the loa time, and the pesky 'Digits Calculator' welcome screen that loads up first - if there was a way that we could go straight to the calculator itself, five stars all the way.Alex Fregon

This has a really a super design and an intuitive user interface. Plus, landscape view (on iPhone4) shows 11 list lines on the left of the keypad, compared with 4 above the keypad in portrait view (though sliding the total line down in portrait reveals 15 list lines). The Calc Flags command is another clever feature. The one facility it lacks is a date stamp - if the developers could add an automatic icon for that, this would be as near the definitive solution as one could get for a non-scientific user.
The comment below about 'dazzling yellow' is wrong - the settings screen includes sliders for hue, saturation and brightness, allowing the keypad background to be set to absolutely any colour. Before buying any other list calculator, just look at the Digits Calculator website demo (a model in itself) and/or try their free Lite version.
It would be good to see this developer's skills applied to other iPhone apps, eg: combining this one with a units converter that would automatically insert unit legends as comments in the list.Show lessithoughtaboutthis

The history is nice and the app pretty much works as expected.
Just used a few times and only issue is when you change the
sign of a number, the main display does not show the + or - so you end up pressing it a few times and end up a positive when you wanted a negative. Otherwise good.Sportsriders
A worthwhile improvement over the standard calculator
A well built, solid app that does a useful job. A few more scientific functions might be nice, but I guess this isn't really the focus of the app. As a quick way to keep track of long calculations, it's fine. I would love to be able to assign constants to values (eg TAX = 15%) so you can then do calculations such as PAY - TAX =

I never thought I'd write a review about how great a calculator is! But this is deserving. You can edit figures later if you've made a mistake, as well as add additional sums if you've omitted something, rather than redoing the entire calculation.
Another great feature is the ability to flag totals in the tape or even add comments so you know what each number represents. When a spreadsheet is too much, and a calculator isn't enough this app is perfect. Good for basic calcs as well, but best of all is neat and reduces the need to have a piece of paper with you to jot down totals. five stars for me.Show lessdanerh
Simple and effective
This is a fantastic app that does everything it says, I was looking for something simple that had the function to label and then email.
Also I really like the fact that you can actually label the individual lines of calculation.
For the developers what I would like to see in the future is the option to save and make up a template so you don't have to keep typing in the label and the calculations each time.
If you are looking for a calculator that is simple and not too complex then I would highly recommend this superb application.
I am using this on my iPad and required it to submit estimates for clients and this can now be done at the appointment as I can email the costs immediately.
