Good but...
This is good effort but it needs a serious update since it's ios8 version. The graphics and weapons sound affects I could really do without. I wanted an LCARS app made for actual function and not just for play, this comes close to that. It has (or did have) a list of news articles from rss feeds that you can change to suit your preference. However, it does have meaningless moving graphics taking up screen space and buttons that make all the familiar bleep noises but do absolutely nothing.
If this had some more work with extra screens and functionality then it would be like using the main computer from the actual show.
For now though its just a news reader LCARS gimmick in need of a iOS update.

Can't read articles without losing star trek style
Can't read articles without losing star trek style. Only a sentence it two then you have to open it in regular internet style which defeats the purpose

Like others have said, needs an update please! Can no longer see the source list or articles list!?!?! Very nicely executed when it is working though!

Best LCARS app out there
I am happy to see this update on the AppStore for iOS 7. This app is much better than any thing CBS could ever make. If this app was removed from the store from pressure from CBS, I would not only boycott but I would picket outside of the movie theatre to encourage others to join my boycott. Their official app is pathetic. CBS is their own worst enemy.

Pretty good
This app does exactly what it claims to do, which is great. Gives you whatever news you want in pure Star Trek fashion. It even lets you go to red alert! I would, however, like to see more features like that. There are buttons that don't do anything but beep, which is fine. But just for the novelty, it would be nice if you could use the Transport buffer access and such. Looking forward to the next update!

Sound doesn't work
On mine the sound doesn't work......could be just mine as the other review says the sound is great. If anyone else has a fix let me know. Looks awesome though

Smoothest LCARS reader on the app store by far. And I've tried them all! Now my favourite news app of all time.
Would be great if you could have different 'groups' of feeds for different subjects. And it would be even more amazing if a Twitter client was added or the developers created a genuine viable LCARS app for Twitter, because this interface is the fastest and easiest to use.

I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to LCARS themed apps I can't lie, this one is pretty cool :)
I'd love to see what the author could do on a 'play' app or a game themed just like this :)

It's OK
The app only works in portrait; it doesn't flip to landscape. Some of the news feeds are old news. However a good app. My kids like the sound the weapons fire button makes :)
What I would really love is an app that turns the iPad into a Pad; access my email, FB, YT, music, etc.
