  • Ok

This app works well but I haven't been able to save any videos.
  • UPDATE v7.2: PRO Acknowledgment is BACK!

YIPPEE! The August 9 Update FIXED the problem with not recognizing a Pro purchase. This great app now works perfectly the way it used to. THANK YOU MACCA!

OLD REVIEW June 2016 Update Broke this Player for me
I bought the PRO version a year ago and loved it. But since the update, it doesn’t consider me “PRO”, Restore Purchases does nothing, and I cannot access my DropBox (that I could before) to download videos. It just tells me to upgrade to PRO to be able to. Now I have to buy something else.

  • Works Great & Easy to use

Love the app. Now I can play WMV movie files on my iPad and it is easy to import files. Only complaint is that I started with free version and they don't make it clear that you only get 10 seconds of video with that version. Pressed up grade and it did not upgrade. Had to delete free version and purchase Pro. I have purchased pro but I opened app today and got another message saying I will get pro version free if I rate the app????

  • I think they're back in business

About a year or so ago i gave up on this app. It worked as advertised out the gate, but then it started messing up. My downloads weren't playing well at all. By reading previous comments. It seemed that other people were having similar issues. If I remember correctly the company said it was due to an iOS update at the time. I guess some where between then and now. They fixed all of their issues. Hopefully it doesn't happen again because this is a very good and fast app. When it comes to video downloading. It's worth the money, and I'm glad to have rediscovered it.

  • Excellent app

This app works great for me, it has a beautiful easy to use interface. I have some chess lessons in the windows media format and I wanted to play them on my iPad. Found this app, downloaded it, and any wmv file I get I download with the "Idownloader" app, then right click so to speak and when it says "open with" I choose the WMV app from the menu and there they are! Couldn't be easier!..thank you for a great app!

  • Works well now on iPad 2

First time I did a system upgrade on ipad 2 the app stopped working, at least in so far as I couldn't access the videos in my library. The Tech people responded to my problem quickly, but with the disappointing solution of reinstalling the app and losing my library. I cringed at the thought and simply did nothing. Maybe after six months I loaded it and voila! It works now (without reinstalling). I'm able to access all previous saved files and add new ones. It's a fairly clean app that is worthy to have on an Apple product. I've yet to explore all its potential, but I'm initially pleased enough now with its performance on my ipad to give it the 4 star rating. I think it's a young company that is working diligently to iron out the inevitable software glitches that arise. Let's show them some encouragement.

  • Wmv App for iTouch Rocks

I have been very frustrated with Apple's lack of support for Flash enabled websites and the inability to view WMV and other movie media attached to email on my iTouch. That is until the WMV App came to my attention two days ago. Now I've been able to go into my various saved folders and view all sorts of movie content via my new App. I was particularly impressed this morning when I received an email with WMV attached and when I viewed it it asked if I wanted to view the movie via the WMV App. I still can't solve my Flash problem, but my movies issues are something of the past, yippie!

  • Great it works!

I took my chance with app and I don't know what the other complaints are all about. This app does exactly what it says. Ok, the user interface is gross and looks like done by a 5 years-old, but I'm so thrilled to be able to watch corporate videos from my German supplier who happen to post everything in stupid WMV format. Anyway, long story short I'm very glad I've purchased it and integrated seamlessly with Opera Mini Browser which detected the app as being the default player for wmv. Don't ask me if Safari acts the same, I don't use this crappy browser at all!

  • At Last

I am thrilled with this application. It does work for me in showing clients :30 sec TV spots. Up until now I have had to get studios/producers send me an iPhone version of a movie file because they always email .wmv's. I like the fact you can get a .wmv to play right off your email after download. This is an app that should come standard with the iPad. Great job!

  • Doesn't Work

I bought this to play wmv files on my iPad (as its name implies) but when I tried to open a wmv file from Safari browser it didn't work and I got a message saying invalid file format so i thought ah ha maybe i have to use the built-in browser. Tried loading it from the built in browser but the file never starts loading after it says connected. Tried again and now the app just crashes when I click on the icon, other times it turns screen black upon start up then crashes. I've tried restarting the iPad but that didn't help. Over 10 GB memory free so that shouldn't be a problem. Got same file to play with no problems using a free program called Xyplayer lite so the format is valid too.
