Frustrating when screen after screen comes up that you can't win. Can not undo plays and re-think strategy. When you typically lose 3 times as much as win, then the game becomes frustrating, not challenging. Players of all levels should be able to play.
  • Best Game Kudos!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite games. Developer is fast to respond to inquiries as well. The only thing I would like to see would be for the titles to drop when a match is made. This is the best game in it's category, hands down!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Meh

It's ok. It's very easy. Not bad, but not awesome. Tiles are nice but I wish there were more options and layers in the board. I prefer ShisenSho from Ta-Dah Apps on my Kindle Fire. (very strange for me to like anything on my Kindle better than my iPad but true...)
  • Needs hints for timed games

Needs a hint button for timed games. Yes, I understand that this is a strategy game and that it is difficult. However, when you have to stare at it blankly more than actually playing it, it is no longer a game; it has then become "art." And not very good art at that.

Oh, and this art is way too expensive. Of course, I should have known that going in.

  • Great!

Great, but it needs the gravity option like the KDE version. Also, the achievements don't seem to be working, unless I'm misreading them...
  • Simply fun

kwajkat has it right. The Great Wall game on the old Shanghai Greatest is the best game. This game is a good one, too. Maybe this dev will put out another Great Wall? Hint, hint.

updated: Thanks for the improvements. The timed game is great. I appreciate a developer who keeps adding quality. Please consider a “gravity" mode as in Great Wall.....

  • Not bad, not great

This is a very simple game at it's core. This version is done well but the lack of a way to keep score limits the value. Add a timer and this would be in my rotation of time killing games for sure.
  • Very Pleased

I've been very pleased with this game. I didn't hesitate to purchase it for only 99c. I picked up an iPad on vacation in the US and played this for a good portion of my plane ride back home.
  • Simple and deep

The game takes less then a minute to learn, using the 'hint' early on is all takes to understand the mechanics of how to play. But it's got tons of depth and strategy and many hours of gameplay.

Vastly superior to the traditional mahjong solitaire.

An undo button and statistics would be nice, but the game is perfectly functional as is.

  • Great Maj Jong Solitare

I really enjoyed my first game with this app. The rules could be clearer, but if you play the game at least once you will get the hang of it. As the previous post mentions, using the hint key will clue you in on the rules.

Suggestions for updates include better written rules, a list of how many tiles you eliminated, so you can see how well you are doing for each time you play, and an option to change the background.
