  • Why can't I hear the names???

I really like this app... But I'm having trouble with the sound. I pick a muscle and tap the sound to hear the name of that muscle and I hear nothing.
I want to give this app 5 stars but unless this problem gets fixed I can only give it 3. It would be a really good app if everything worked as it should, I hate to give it a bad review, but just be careful if you want an app that lets you see, read and hear all the muscle names. I really hope they fix this. If they do it's 5 stars.

  • Great

This app is great! It has really helped me learn the muscles. Great recent update.
  • Great Help for Workouts

I use this app frequently to inform stretches and workouts for my older body. Though never an athlete, I was once in pretty decent shape with regular cardio and strength workouts and appropriate stretching. An overly long hiatus from that routine has sent me back to the starting block with a need for patience and body knowledge that presents an all new challenge. I find that I am better able to address recalcitrant muscles, new aches and pains, stiffness, etc. if I can visually identify the relevant joints, muscles and connective tissue involved. This app is great for finding, viewing and learning about all those "moving parts' that don't quite move the way they used to. I am better able to discuss progress with my trainers, docs, etc. if I correctly refer to a body part by name, rather than saying that "it's that bump thingy just at the tip of the 'wing' on my shoulder blade." And there's something to be said -- as a lay person -- for 'knowing oneself' inside and out.

  • Incredibly useful!

I'm a high school student in Science Olympiad, and for one of my events I am studying the musculoskeletal system. I've found that this is the BEST ELECTRONIC LEARNING RESOURCE I have found so far! It's extremely organized, featuring 3D models, videos, pronunciation, details about each bone and muscle (origin, insertion, action, etc), and self-quizzes. Great for visual learners like me, who find it helpful to drag things around in different angles to view them. The app has a very easy-to-use interface, but the content is not elementary at all--the information is quite detailed.

    LOVE THIS APPPPPP

  • Amazing App for beginners in AP 1

I did not take any anatomy & physiology in high school, but through the course of my college career I became very intrigued by the medical field. I am now studying to become a physicians assistant which means I really need to know my body and how it works! This application is the best money I have spent in college. I have learned all the muscles and bones paired with their functions due to the tools assembled within this ingenious app! I recommend this application to any and everyone who is or is not studying anatomy & physiology. This is by far a phenomenal app!!!!!!

  • Great Massage Exam Prep App

I got this app to study to take the MBLEx massage therapy license exam. It is truly outstanding! The 3D rotation and detail of the muscles is so worth the few dollars it costs.

I had a difficult time understanding the depth of the different muscles based on diagrams in books and other iPad apps. This blew them all out of the water and I could finally clearly see where the muscles really were in relation to the muscles around them.

The quizzes were also great prep!

  • Best studying tool by far!!!!!

I've spent a lot of money on text books and probably just as much on anatomy and physiology apps. I believe I spent $40 on one and it was a huge waste of money. It was extremely hard to navigate and even harder to comprehend the information. This is by far the best study tool I've ever had. It's worth every penny and then some. It's extremely user friendly and very comprehensive. The simple layout and stunning graphics make studying much more exciting. I also highly recommend their sister app for organs. The simple layout and condensed text is both easy to understand and very informative! The only thing I would request is more videos. The videos are very helpful and explain things so that novices have no trouble following along. Thank you for the wonderful app!

  • Great! (but found it late)

I wish I would've downloaded this 3 months sooner to help enlighten and further illustrate some of the things I learned in the Coursera course 'Out on a Limb: The Anatomy of the Upper Limb'. Regardless, I compared closely when I decided to get one of these apps and I can truly say I am glad I spent 4.99 for this app. It's interface, organization and quality of illustrations is amazing. Now I use it as a tool for referencing the aching muscles I have so I can get busy with the foam roller. Thanks for an instructive and affordable app on this topic!

  • Pretty good, pretty basic

I liked this app bc it only focuses on muscle and bone. As a yoga student, this is what I need to learn. A lot of the more costly apps have a ton of other details that I won't need to learn (organs, nerves, etc). But there are limitations in the app. They don't label the views (e.g., posterior, anterior, etc). This can make it challenging to know what you are looking at. The graphics are lower quality/less detailed than more costly anatomy apps. The quizzes are nice, but just multiple guess (as opposed to fill in the blank). Overall, for those on a budget, this is a good app.

  • Great!

I love this app and the quizzes are very helpful. I certainly use it all the time as a review. However, I did notice some spelling errors, and I learned that "movement of the arm across the chest" was horizontal adduction, which is not addressed (along with horizontal abduction). I would also like some more information on the nerves (such as their pathways and maybe some info on the plexuses). I also didn't notice a quiz on just the nerve innervations, which would be helpful. Nonetheless, thank you for the great app!
