Is this a demo?
When I merged two contacts it appears to work but when I start the program again or look at the contacts in my main file they aren't merged. I emailed support at Contacts duster and got an immediate reply. It turns out that they are working on a newer version which will solve my concern and they will also be adding more information about the app to avoid the confusion I had about the differences between the paid version and the free version. Whenever an application's developer is quick to respond to a customer complaint I always give them five stars as this kind of immediate support can be as important as the software being great in the first place. Anyone with 2000 plus contacts like me should consider the paid version of this app for weeding out the duplicates and blank contact entries.

Not fit for purpose yet.
I'd like to write a favourable review as I need an app like this and it seemed promising from the screenshots and the freebie identifier...
However I purchased it and now it's just randomly deleted many of my contacts, one being a very important client of mine who I now can't reach! It correctly identified many duplicates (thanks LinkedIn for making them in the first place, that's another review waiting to happen!). I next ran this to resolve it and it started merging contacts like
Tom Harry
Tom Jones
Tom Someone
into one contact... ok, that's not ideal but the real problem was it actually deleted all 3 and crashed during the process!
I wish I'd just done a backup as I've now got an incomplete list of contacts now (still with duplicates I may add). This could be excellent if they fixed it but version 1.1 is worse than useless... iI can't believe I've paid the developer money to trash my phone.
I'll change my review to positive if you add this
-Fix the crashing on cleaning
-Store an original contact list should it go wrong/crash/etc.. and you need to reset.
-Allow me to tag items not to merge.
-Provide a summary/log of what changed (or better still show a preview of what will change as well)
-If you're going to delete a phone number/name/email/etc... TELL US!
right now the cleaning part of the app is broken and should be removed from sale.

Very Nice and Efficient
This app is very cool. It helps very well take the mess out of the contacts list by removing duplicates and reorganizing the contacts. It also provide visual representation of the address book contacts.
It also works well on my ipod touch with the latest iOS 4.0.2 as opposed to what other reviews are claiming.

Still a few too many crashes
I know this is a version 1.0. But it doesn't seem to able cope with more than 3 merges before crashing out. Nice clean interface but not immediately clear what you do to get rid of your dupes. Has promise but not yet for me.
