Leave a Review Le Monde diplomatique
Le Monde D: RIP or ripoff?
Le Monde Diplomatique has often Illuminated complex issues with some of the finest analyses one can find in a newspaper. However, they have not understood anything about the changing environment of e-publishing. This is not an app, but a very unsophisticated advertisement that tries to sell you digitized PDFs of the printed copy with no real digitally-specific content for $50 a year. I understand now why people feel cheated or taken for idiots. Sadly this attitude dates Le Monde Diplomatique and anchors it to a dying business model. Farewell to what once was a cutting edge publishing landmark.Show lessWorst news app I've seen yet
How does one of the best newspapers in the world wind up with the worst app in the world? This might be tolerable on iPad but that's not the point. Scrolling around and pinch-swiping a gigantic PDF-like facsimile of the print edition is pure torture. Free is too expensive--and limiting the content will NOT entice me into subscribing--not if this is how I'll have to view it. Affreux!Show lessDon't buy
Poor application, unfriendly to read, zoom is blurry, look even worse particularly when compared to Le Monde application which is great to use.Awesome source
Sure the text gets somehow blurry when u zoom in but it is still better compared to paper. We re not talking about a "paper" here, this is a reference. So you want to carry many issues (how can u do that on paper and how many trees is that :))
LMD, A family favorite since the 70s.Not worth the price, Buy the paper edition instead
Vert disapointing application, when you zoom thé text a bit it appears blurry. It's difficult to read an entire article in these conditions. For 5$ we could have more than a bad scan of the paper edition.
