Great for nature sounds!

I don't actually use the alarm clock..I bought a speaker/dock set for my iPhone and it recommended this and another app In the pamphlet and I just used this app for the lovely nature sounds. I use the ocean waves and set it for 15 mins and I'm usually never awake to hear it stop, and I have insomnia! It's great for this purpose.

Not bad!

This app is pretty nice actually. I love the sleep and nap timers and the nature noises they included to fall asleep to. The only problem I have is sometimes the clock doesn't recognize when I have the app running? Weird. But I love how I can just sync the time and alarms and can choose when I want them to go off. So much easier than trying to do it from the clock! Good work! Especially for finding the clock in Marshall's for half the price, I'm satisfied!

When is an alarm clock not an alarm clock?

When it runs slow and makes you late for work!

I am staggered how badly this app has screwed up the way my iPhone 4S interacts with my Lunar SST alarm clock radio/phone dock (the hardware associated with this app).

I'll grant you, both the alarm clock/dock and this iPhone app work absolutely perfectly as separate items. However, just don't use them together which for the £100 outlay you would not expect.

I kid you not, with the iPhone docked, the alarm clock/dock runs SLOW!!! I am not joking. Thanks to this app and in the year 2013, having spent a combined outlay of over £500 (iPhone + alarm clock) I now have a DIGITAL alarm that cannot even keep the right time!!! And I don't mean a few minutes -- overnight it can loose more than an hour!!!

"Made for iPhone" What joke - xtrememac and Apple hang your heads in shame

Not reliable

This app only works if the app is running. Which is fine if you remember to open it before you go to bed. However if you get an email or game notification text or something similar it makes the app stop running to show the notification. Which means your alarm doesn't go off. Since phone has to be on for it to work I cannot control if I get any notifications. Major fail my book.

iOS 6 bug

Since I updated to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 the alarm clock no longer works, it displays the alarm at the time I set but I don't get any audible sound which is kind of the idea ... Please sort it guys I payed for your device to wake me up for work... Thanks in advance

Had to reinstall after IOS6

I love this app, but after upgrading to IOS6, it became a silent alarm. I emailed tech support and they suggested I uninstall and re-install the app. Fortunately it worked. Now I just need an adapter or new dock to fit the iPhone 5.

Ok but....

Functionality broken in IOS 6. Tells me that the accessory is not compatible with the iPhone.

IOS5.1
I love the Xtrememac microdock but the app needs some work. There is no 24 hour clock support and it would be great to be able to go to sleep to music instead of the two choices of "ambient noises". A few small changes would really improve this app.

Meh

Not the most efficient or convenient way to have an alarm clock but it's neat and works well enough for me.

I like that I can use the alarm via Bluetooth since my case doesn't allow me to set it on the actual speakers and is too difficult to take on and off frequently

Workaround for missing "done" button

The alarms work fine for me, but the missing "done" button is annoying because I need as little light as possible to sleep, and I can't access the night mode unless I can get to the main menu. To get to the main menu set and sync your alarm(s) take the iPod/iPhone off the clock, go settings -> tap on the red "forget" button, and the done button should appear. Tap it, then put your devise on the clock, press night mode and, viola! Dark screen, alarm still works and I can sleep.

Poor

Dug this clock and app out again after having it in storage for 18 months or so. I figured, perhaps it may have improved with updates? Absolutely dumbfounded to discover that despite over a year of consistently shocking reviews, the system is, if anything, even worse than before. Pathetic, bordering on contemptuous, avoid like the plague, and don't, whatever you do, fork out money for the base station.
