Useless

Great, not only can't you guys build a docking station that works (can't keep time correctly, is either way too fast or way too slow depending on the weather - is now just an expensive charger), you can't even get your accompanying app to work.
As soon as it docks, the settings screen comes up and can't be removed unless the app is closed down, which means the alarms won't work. When re-opened it skips straight past the main screen back into the settings screen.
Together with all the other complaints noted in these comments, I'd rather just use the standard alarm clock on the iPhone - at least it's reliable.

Great hardware, poor software

As per usual, it's a real shame when the software doesn't do the hardware justice. I love my little XtremeMac 3-in-1 device, it sits by my bed looking all sleek and lovely. I am also one of the lucky ones who doesn't have any phone interference problems... That might be because I have a 3G signal rather than just EDGE... I find it's the non-3G frequencies that usually cause the interference problems.

But the software has some glaring annoyances, and they really are easy things to fix: Firstly, choosing music to wake up to... Why can't I select a Playlist? Selecting individual songs is tedious, and shuffling the whole lot is a bit too much of a game of Russian Roulette with an alarm clock. Secondly, the choice of skins... Ugh. The only one worth looking at and that is clear an easy-to-read is the second one (plain orange Helvetica type on a black background). And the elements on the screen don't move. Hello, screen burn-in! Using this every night really concerns me that it's going to screw up my iPhone's lovely retina display before long. And thirdly, screen brightness. I know there's a dimmer button, but this just dims the graphics, not the actual iPhone brightness, and so it makes the time even more difficult to read from an angle in the dark against the backlight. I usually have to jump to iBooks, adjust the brightness there, then jump back to the app remembering not to hit the sleep button on the iPhone, else the brightness will reset. I know it would be an iOS 5-only feature, but [[UIScreen mainscreen] setBrightness] built into the app would make a huuuge difference for me.

So, please, make the software as good as the hardware and I look forward to up-rating this app considerably!

Thanks for listening :)

Good, not great

I like the interface, the display, and the fact the developer fixed an error quickly. It's odd, though, that "night mode" doesn't seem to darken the screen, just reduces the text contrast. Would get another star for actual dimming!

Back and running again.

Went all night and didn't crash. Heading this weekend to by 3-1 dock. Thanks.

Thanks for the Fix.

Thanks for fixing up the auto shut down error. Once again the App is in my good books.

Better now!

New update solved the problem. Excited to have my alarm back, no other app is nearly as user friendly!

Broken

Bought the clock 6 months ago, love the hardware but the app is broken. When I go to the alarm set screen, there's no way to go back to the clock screen. There should be a button to exit the screen, but there isn't. I'm running the latest iOS and I've tried reinstalling the app, but as soon as I go to set the alarm I get stuck on that screen.

Ropey technology

Very disappointed. Even before latest bug that caused me to oversleep on a few occasions, lots of signal interference (loud enough to wake you up) unless phone is in airplane mode. Pity because it's otherwise a good concept.

Fail

The recent update made my alarm turn off during the night every night. Just shuts off the app and phone goes into rest. Kinda ruins the entire point of the app. Was my primary alarm. Bastards. Thanks for making me late.

PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!!

Seriously, I used to love my alarm clock and so did my wife! We spent nearly $100 on two of these units, one for each nightstand. They worked great when we bought them. But now since the update, the app will shut down on its own, rendering the "alarm" useless. So now, we have expensive chargers. Not cool. Please take care of this quickly! It seems everyone else on here is ticked off too and has the same problem. My wife nearly got fired from her 12 year job because her freakin alarm didn't go off and she was late to an important meeting with the CEO of her company. Fix this ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
