Leave a Review Beginning Letter Sounds
Disappointed
I like the pocket chart apps but was disappointed that the beginning sounds are asked in abc order. It doesn't test beginning sound knowledge as much as letter recognition. I had hoped to use this app to test my kindergartners on beginning sounds.Developer Response
This issue was resolved with an update. Game play can now be shuffled. The voice prompts reinforce each beginning letter sound. Thank you for using Pocket Charts! Beginning Letter Sounds. I hope you'll try it again.Acorn or nut?
Some students may struggle with vocabulary. I thought maybe if the students click on the picture it would say what it is, but it doesn't. Only 26 pictures and then it repeats the same pictures. I wanted to buy all the other pocket charts but I won't buy it unless it gets more pictures. I agree that it is nice to have a simple app but it wouldn't be that hard to put a score at the end. I only see my students playing this once.Show lessDeveloper Response
This issue was resolved with an update. Voice prompts are now included. If you would like a version that includes an interface that shows the progress of each student, and also includes all 22 of the Pocket Charts apps. Please look at Pocket Charts! Pro on the App Store. Thank you!Eh ok
Strictly a matching game that goes in abc order. Not interactive at all. Could be much better. I agree is not worth $2!Developer Response
Issues resolved with updates. Game play can be shuffled. It is interactive in that students choose, then manipulate the correct answers. This app emulates a classic classroom pocket chart and is manipulated in the same manner. App is not $1.99. It's usually free and sometimes $.99.
