I have used Dauntless Ground School to pass my IFR, GLIDER and soon my commercial. I have also used as a refresher prior to BFRs and IPCs. The software is very intuit and precise. But what is particularly excellent, is that the software and content allows me to not only pass the test with a high grade (which makes for a much easier check ride), but as importantly, to learn the underlying material and the logic of the test . I have tried Kings and this is much more easy, particularly if you like to supplement the material with reading in a standard text book. Well worth the expense.Show lessGreatest Dad in the WORLD!

As a Canadian Commercial Helicopter Pilot, I found this app very helpful in preparing for the FAA conversion. Without it I don't think I would feel as prepared as I do going into the exam. Very good test prep app
I passed my knowledge a few days after purchasing the app. It works very well, the explanations are sufficient to clarify my answers. A good reminder about these apps is that they are here to expedite the process of passing the written, but to fully understand the subject you need a lot more than just an appShow lessNicolo Costanzo

Best app for prep. for written I use since my Private and Instrument.

Decent App, Terrible Company
Extremely rude disrespectful "CFI's"...
Have been studying with this app along with King Courses and a few others for my Commercial Certificate.
Came across a question in Aerodynamics about combined effects of slipstream and torque effect, Dauntless gave one answer, while King, Gleim, and several CFI's gave a different answer. So I used the form Dauntless provided within their app to submit that an answer may be incorrect, kindly asked them for clarification.
The response I received from one of their CFI's was shocking. Down right rude and extremely disrespectful! Rather then what any other CFI would do explaining the answer, He pretty much flipped out on me for questioning the answer. Extremely nasty reply that how dare I question them, everyone else is WRONG and their answer is right, I'm lazy and trying to get them to do everything for me, blah blah blah.
I submitted the same question to King Schools and got a very pleasant detailed response explaining their answer. After doing some web searching on this particular question, there is actually quite a bit of debate on the answer, so not sure why they were so shocked that I would question it. Anyways the app itself isn't bad, although you shouldn't have to pay an extra $20 for the audio feature. Terrible company and customer service.Show lessBryan M. -
IFR and Commercial worked for me!
Only studied using this app for my test and loved it! Not only because it actually had a lot of the same questions in the real test, but also because of the detailed explanation of each answer.
Got a 93% on my test, I was able to review a lot of concepts and even cleared up some existing doubts.

92 on my commercial knowledge test.
I used the mp3 playback of questions and answers. Listened to them while driving. Listened all the way through a few times. And it helped immensely. I used another video course for the more difficult problems such as angle to converge and time, distance and fuel to station. But I'll be purchasing this app for future tests. Well worth the money.
