Only soccer app you need

For years I have been searching for a soccer app that allows me to follow not only big name European soccer teams like Real Madrid, Chelsea or PSG but also South American leagues from Colombia and Argentina. This app is a dream for any soccer junkie. It allows you to follow your favorite leagues and tournaments plus it gives you the stats on who are the leading goal scorers throughout the leagues.

Highly recommend this app it will be the only soccer app you will ever need.

Great coverage, awful news

This app is fantastic for keeping up to date with live matches in pretty much any competition, it’s easy to navigate between match days, the live league table and individual club records.

My one problem with it is the home feed and the articles shown there. These are the most boring, dry, one dimensional articles I’ve ever read. Each one gives you next to no information and the style of writing is so difficult to read without rolling your eyes. If you want to get news about football, download twitter, subscribe to the Athletic or watch sky sports news. This is not the place for it.

I’ll continue using this app though, because the match feed is absolutely unrivalled- I currently keep track of 6 teams and this is managed without any difficulty, and this is the reason I got the app in the first place.

BAD redesign. AWFUL

Dumbed down visuals. Too much white space—MUCH less info on the screen at any one time. Information is the whole purpose of this app. And what use is this app if you can’t easily—quickly—get to the info?Probably did this on purpose, because you see more ads if you have to keep scrolling. And the ads are so big, it’s hard to swipe screen without brushing one. Then, whoops! App Store or browser has opened and screen has switched to that. Close the new window. Go back to OF. Try to swipe without touching an ad and get back to what I was trying to look at. I hate it. It was nice to have so much info in one place, but bookmarking some websites will be lads aggravating. I’ll
leave the app on my phone for a while to make sure this app stays posted, but I won’t be using it.

I HATE it when a perfectly decent app gets trashed by so-called improvements. Other issues: too much white background—wastes my battery power. Last complaint: When will graphic designers learn that serif fonts are easier to read?

Good app but some bad aspects

Great app for soccer scores but it is really confusing when teams are added points on the table before the game is over. For example, a team is up 1-0 in the 20’, they would be given 3 points even though the game isnt over yet. I just don’t understand why they do this. It is confusing when you check out the table in the middle of a day filled with games.

New Update Problems

OneFootball is amazing and one of the best Football information apps for nearly all leagues. The new update has made the app confusing and hard to read. I liked the version before. It was simple to look at with different colours to brake the white that really helped. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THAT!

Great app but needs these updates

The last update is weird, somehow it’s not that reader-friendly. More seriously, I can’t read results from a league without following it. Sometime later I wanna check results from second divisions every once in a while without actually following them , so I hope they adjust that.
Also goals have to show if they’re scored from a penalty kick or not.
Would help to add “misses next game” feature for a yellow card in major competitions at least
One of the best apps overall

Review

The app is really great. I’m super happy with it, but since today it started crashing - I have the app for about a year now.

Love the new look

I think the new overhaul made the app’s look much cleaner. But I think having the teams in the same line in the Games section would’ve helped the user grasp more information. Having the teams below each other with a very faint line separating the matches requires slightly more time to understand what’s going on. Every UI uses a single line to depict the fixtures for a reason. It’s not like more information is being displayed with the extra space each fixture gets. Now it also takes more scrolling to see the future matches. I hope this feature is reverted back. Besides this, I think the app is much better.

Ruined a winning formula

I’d firstly like to give thanks to the OneFootball team. I’ve used this app for as long as I can remember, it’s always been my go-to for anything football. It was great, and I appreciate the effort to update the app.

But...

Unfortunately, the latest update has ruined it. In a nutshell: HUGE AMOUNT of overly-intrusive ads, pretty boring theme to it, all information has been scaled-up massively. This last point is my biggest gripe with the app. At any given time, you can only see SIX matches on the fixtures list- it makes navigating through leagues and fixtures VERY frustrating (and this is on an iPhone XR with a relatively large screen). Furthermore, league tables have been inflated too, meaning that they’ve had to remove the Win Draw Loss from the tables. Almost every aspect has been scaled-up. This app used to be very concise and convenient, now it’s pretty cumbersome. Seems like the front-end was designed with no input from football-minded people.

New design.... hmm

Decent app still, but the old design worked great. I loved the old design. Classic case of playing with something to make it look shiny and new, when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place. As a result the layout now looks very boring and is more difficult to find what you want. The main problem is the sheer amount of scrolling you have to do in the matches section now, with each match taking up multiple lines of space. The best thing about this app was the compactness, that has all gone now. I want to see what the scores are on one screen, not have to scroll up and down all the time to keep track. There are a number of other tweaks which are also for the worse, but this is the main one. How about an option in settings to use the old layout? I used to use this app a lot every day, I’ll now be searching to try to find a replacement with a better layout.
