Buyer Beware
This game is too difficult for children. The categories are very poorly developed. For example, under the "Pets" category, one of the words in the game is "python!" Other choices include wild animals with exotic names. These are hardly pets and certainly not within the vocabulary and understanding of small children. One would think that "Pets" includes the words dog, puppy, kitten, goldfish, hampster, etc., but not so with this game. Attention game developer, farm animals and jungle dwelling predators are NOT pets in the understanding and experience of children. Other categories have similar kinds of words that no one, including adults, would even begin to be able to guess, because the inclusion of the words in the categories makes no sense. This is a VERY poor children's game. Perhaps the developer should redesign the game in consultation with a group of children for guidance. A children's version of Hangman, developed in this way would be a welcome addition to the itunes games inventory for kids.

Ok for older kids
This game is colourful and quick to play. My son enjoys the touchscreen controls and can be played with just one player. However there are no settings options to make it easy or hard and no option to input your own words. I would say this game is best age 10-12 as there are only 6 wrong guesses before your out.

Promising but lacking
Great colourful graphics and a good concept but two big problems:
1) Doesn't tell you what the word was when you fail to guess
2) No way to configure the difficulty
Considering the effort in the rest of the app, it really is a shame that these two areas detract from what could be a good educational game.
