Love this.
Three years ago i used this application in Japan, and talked for hours out front of my hotel with a local person who didn’t speak English. They would speak into the app after pushing the Japanese side and it would spit out in English audibly what they said. And we did this back-and-forth for hours giggling. And today I opened it up and it had my last words which was good evening. I couldn’t quite remember how to use the app, and I clicked on the Japanese characters, and clicked the word speak above it, I have an iPhone, and it immediately said con ban wa perfectly. And then I tapped on German, and it did the same for German. I’m looking forward to going to Germany soon and using this app. Thank you so much for making this app, you developers! I remember when I had to learn the Japanese language the hard way in school. And now kids have these smart phones to do this kind of thing. It’s an amazing world we live in.

Works well with English as base
If this works pretty well for most languages, but only if you are speaking English. I tried switching it so Italian was the base language and Italian was the target language. Didn’t work at all. Maybe I’m doing something wrong.
Best Translator App Period! But... :(
So I’ll start by saying that this is the ONLY translation tool I’ve had to use for years now.
I travel a lot and it’s always been an immensely valuable app for me to have.
Even if I just want to learn how to say a few things in another language. It’s perfect for all uses you can think of.
Blows Google Translate out of the water too as far as meaningful translations a supposed to Google’s almost literal translations which rarely make sense in real speaking senses.
But since the end of April, it just crashes every time I open it. And I’m only including this in my review in hopes the developers see it. I emailed them as well but would just hate to never see it fixed and have to download another app which I just can’t trust will work as well as this one has for me.
A 100% five-star app, through-and-through, and I just realllllllly hope it’s fixed soon so I can start translating again ASAP. :)

Not the best for Russian.
If you can read Cyrillic then you won’t have an issue.
This is good if you are next to people and they can hear or read what you translate. If you need the translation in phonetic English so you can see how to pronounce you are out of luck. Unless there is a feature that dies that I can’t find.
Also the translation is in a woman’s voice. It would be easier gir me to hear in a mans voice.
One thing it dies do well is if you are texting you can copy and paste the Russian message.

Be aware of the latest update.
It prevents you from copying the text so you can no longer transfer into a message.

Was loving the app. Until the last update. No it is terrible will be looking for a new translation app. Before the last update I could copy translation and post into another app DM. Now no more. Also when I open up translator app there is advertising before I can paste the foreign language to translate

As an American learning Japanese, I accept that I will be a lifelong learner.
This App offers flexibility in translation while maintaining the most polite way to speak/write a phrase or response.
I have been using this App since it’s inception and it has never disappointed me.

Been using this app Translatop Pro for years never had a problem. This app has help me so much over the years... Developers have really made this app special and it gets better over time...

Best Translator
I absolutely love this app. I work at a dialysis facility and I am not totally fluent in Spanish but I can definitely get by with a decent conversation but every now and then I’ll need to say something in Spanish that I don’t know. I just whip out my phone and look it up and have the phone tell me how to say what I need. I can tell if it’s the correct context or if I need to enter another English phrase to get the correct Spanish word, so this is very helpful to me.
When we had to start the COVID screening, we didn’t have a Spanish screening questionnaire so I definitely used this app to assist in creating one. Of course, I had my Spanish-speaking patients correct me if I used the wrong word, but without this app, the process would have been more difficult.
This is especially useful when I’m out and about or watching a movie. I can turn on my app and let it translate a word or phrase for me. I love to play with this app and all the different languages available so I get the proper pronunciations for languages I am NOT familiar with. Great app!
