Good app

This is a. very useful app. I like the fact that I can quickly see when the moons will be eclipsed by the planet, or when they will pass in front or behind the planet. It's neat when at the scope to view a moon blink in or out when eclipsed by the planet. This app saves all the time needed to look up the times for these events. This app is well thought out, and I would have given it 5 stars if not for the high price. I have astronomy apps that are awesome, and do a whole lot more and were only 99 cents. JMHO

A nice app!

I totally agree with the previous post...a very useful app as it is not easy knowing which moon(s) are actually visible through your telescope. The ability to change the viewing time, and thereby determine when Jupiter's Great Red Spot is visible, is very nice. The info page could be vastly improved by providing physical details and interesting facts/space mission info about each planet. Thus, 4 stars and not 5.

Works as advertised

Not much to this simple, but useful app. It's accuracy and ease of use is what we have come to expect from Software Bisque - and they did not disappoint. Want to know how to plan your viewing session so that you will get a chance at seeing Jupiter's Great Red Spot; or do you want to know which moon is transiting the planet at this very moment - or at anytime during your planned observing session? Then this app is for you. It allows customization so that the screen view can simulate, to a point, views seen though your eyepiece. It's a little gem from a fine company.

Potentially very good App

This is a great idea for an astronomy app so many times I have wondered where Jupiter or Saturn's main moons are at a particular time and this does this perfectly, it's also a nice idea being able to set it up with your particular telescope/eyepieces and get an approximation of what you would see with your viewfinder it still needs a bit of work tho as some of the telescopes that you choose just crashed the app on my iPad, Williams Optics ones for example I look forward to this app getting even better as Im sure will happen with future upgrades.

Jupiter in your pocket

This app does the job and shows details that are difficult to achieve within the more complex planetarium programs where the planets are an afterthought. Perfect for those public outreach events where viewers ask "What moon is that?". Also useful to quickly visualize an entire evening's events for shadow transits and eclipses.
