Useless CarPlay implementation
Wow. I have never seen such neglect in making an app CarPlay compatible. “Listen to to live audio” for example. I turned it on in my car at the top of the hour 2:00 Eastern and was treated to SIX minutes of preroll ads. Not six ads. Six MINUTES of ads. By the time CNBC came on, I was done.
If by some miracle you actually get live audio streaming, if you get a phone call or interact with Siri, audio in the CNBC app doesn’t come back unless you force quit the app or start a podcast stream. And the next Siri notification interrupts the audio again and the app won’t restart the stream. Again. I’ve reported this bug a number of times over a number of versions of iOS. Not to mention a few versions ago the app wouldn’t even launch. I tried Bloomberg during that time and got really used to them.
I’m done. I’m sticking with Bloomberg in the car. CNBC, fix your app or remove it from CarPlay because the current quality level isn’t doing you any favors.

Why Joe Kernan? And clown Cramer?
My question might sound a bit tongue-in-cheek but, seriously, what is the point of having someone with such a limited knowledge of finance and a narrowly partisan take on every issue co-hosting a show? He seems more and more like an embarrassment to his colleagues and a distraction from the serious matters facing the markets. The great Mark Haines must be spinning in his grave… As for Cramer, he has turned of late in the ultimate sycophant. He changes opinion like a windsock changes direction, and for me the last straw was when he praised the "successful" listing of DJT and the -failed- manipulation of GME by you know who. How many people who listen to Cramer will lose their shirts because of him?
As for the app itself, price data and charts pale in comparison to Yahoo Finance, but it is nice to have selected content from the TV programming. Guys like Josh Brown and Joe Terranova are solid contributors, and there are also some great guests: I particularly appreciate Kyle Bass for his view on geopolitics, a hawk’s hawk.
