Paywall
Response for Developer:
I understand that but I don’t want to use an app that shoves a paywall without even letting me see the content. I don’t want to start a free trial immediately before knowing what I’m getting.
Thanks for responding but I’m not going to use this app.
Response from developer
Hello GeniusGuy123, We understand your frustration. The subscription page appears right after the welcome screen as part of the trial setup, but you can simply close it and use the app — no payment is required during the free trial. We offer trial periods that allow you to fully test all features, including the improved LiDAR scanner, before deciding. We hope you give it a chance.
WENT IN REVERSE
Response from developer
Hello beemerboyz, We understand your frustration with the changes since the previous free version. The app has been completely rebuilt with significant improvements, including enhanced LiDAR stability, new features, and a redesigned interface. To support this development, we transitioned to a subscription model. However, we offer free trial periods so you can test all the new functionality before any commitment and see the improvements for yourself. We hope you'll reconsider and give the updated app a chance.
Didn’t even get to use the app
Never worked once

Scam
Response from developer
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. We understand your perspective completely. The transition to a subscription in V2.0 directly fuels the significant upgrades we've made, like enhancing the 3D LiDAR scanner stability, simplifying the UI for an overall better experience and more. The subscription model allows us to maintain and continually improve the app's performance and usability, which is crucial even for periodic use. While the core app has evolved, we offer different trial periods so you can choose the option that best suits your needs to experience the new value firsthand. We appreciate your understanding and hope you try the new version.
Paid now
Used to be free, now my scans are locked behind a pay wall
Now the dev updated it to require a subscription, and I can’t even access my old scans without paying. I’m not inherently against paying for subscriptions, even if most of the actual functionality is basically copied directly from Apple’s developer examples, but don’t offer it for free and then lock up people’s content.
Response from developer
Hello d_arrington, Thank you for your detailed feedback, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this transition has caused. We are making adjustments to our product to ensure that access to all your existing object scans is clear and straightforward. The shift to a subscription supports the significant enhancements beyond the basic framework, including improved 3D LiDAR scanner stability, a redesigned interface, new features and so on. We offer different free trial periods so you can choose the option that best suits your needs to see the improvements for yourself and find your previous scans. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope you give the updated app a try.
Locked out for a fee now
According to Apple's App Store Guidelines, Section 3.1.2(a), this is not allowed. As per the guidelines - If you are changing your existing app to a subscription-based business model, you should not take away the primary functionality existing users have already paid for. For example, let customers who have already purchased a “full game unlock” continue to access the full game after you introduce a subscription model for new customers.
V2.0 requires a subscription now

Crashes when navigating library or with detailed scans
As long as you limit the scope of the project, the app functions better than a lot of the other free ones, it is just prone to crashing as soon as the dataset is too large. Unfortunately there is 0 warning and you won’t know until it is processing.
If the crashing with the library was fixed, then it would be 5 stars, as it does what you want it to do. If there was an internal measure or warning if your scan is too getting too big, that would be nice to help prevent crashing.
Right now I cannot access my latest projects and the library crashes as soon as I scroll down a little.
Response from developer
Hi, Thank you for your detailed feedback and for sharing your experience with the app crashes. We sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused. We want to let you know that we have made significant improvements in the latest updates, including enhanced stability and performance optimizations specifically designed to address library scrolling issues and prevent crashes with larger datasets. Your suggestion about adding a warning for large scans is excellent, and we are actively looking into implementing this feature. In the meantime, we encourage you to update to the newest version where these stability improvements should resolve the access issues you've described. We truly appreciate you taking the time to help us improve and hope you'll give the updated version another chance.
