Now I love 3D monster maze so I was excited but this is the best I can get though but noice work. The only thing I just want if the controls to stop covering the messages it makes it more harder
Great port terrible controls
This would be the perfect way to play this game but the controls are so unresponsive it often takes 4 or 5 taps on a key just to move or turn. It feels like you’re playing a laggy emulator in a browser on dial up and not an app running on your phone
Not responsive
Love this old classic and in many ways it is taking me right back to my early gaming years. Problem with the app (for me at least) is the lack of responsiveness when trying to move around. Playing on an iphone13 and using the three directional buttons but when I try to turn it often doesn’t respond, resulting in being caught all too easily.
Not sure if it’s just me or is anyone else experiencing this?

Amazing! Also…
This game is amazing! I saw it in the evolution of horror games so I decided to try it. It’s pretty good! I think it would be really fun if you made a 3D version. I know it’s 3D monster maze but it was made back in 1983 so it’s not really 3D anymore. Again I think it would be fun to have a 3D version so I think you should consider it. Thanks.

Great game but a little glitchy
This game is actually kinda scary and is worth the 1 dollar. When I found this game I was impressed I thought that this game was lame. But when I learned how old the game is I was flabbergasted. The best part about it is where the T-Rex comes near you, it was a terrifying and amazing event. The only problem I can think of is the controls and glitchy ness but maybe it was in the original.
The mobile version is great next to it’s big brother. GOOD WORK!!!!!!!

Hi and thanks for the feedback! The game is designed to be an authentic re-creation of the original. If you've never seen or played the original I'm sure it would look quite odd!

Rex lies in wait too often but apart from that a very accurate port
Love it but when Rex has seen you he doesn’t then lie in wait straight after! Have him looking for you most of the time and it’ll be about right.

Hi thanks for the review. I worked very hard to recreate the original logic for Rex. The design of the maze can sometimes lead Rex to lie in wait when you might not expect it. He lies in wait when he can't move directly towards you.

The optional enhanced version is a nice touch.

This game is great. I'm too young to have played the original but I can clearly see why it was such a favourite for the ZX81. I will look out for future releases by this fantastic game developer.
Scary game with one flaw
It is a great game and very scary. You wouldn't think text at the bottom of the screen would rival other modern horror games but it does.
