A great little app, very useful indeed for producing the models I create which are generally custom made copies of industrial items slightly modified for odd circumstances.

Perfect but was free before so no.
Lost all scans
I was an early adopter to this app and absolutely loved it. I recommended it to many of my friends, but now I am extremely disappointed after losing all of my files including scans of my kids as infants. Functionality that used to be free is now behind a paywall. I’ve switched phones multiple times and all the files transferred so I didn’t check to make sure before wiping my phone, but of course this time everything was not transferred and lost.

This is an excellent tool. But I only use it occasionally. Happy to pay less, or £5 for a week at a time. But I don’t use it enough to justify 14 weeks’ purchase at £70, let alone giving you £5 a week forever.

Bait and Switch - Avoid!
This app used to be free and it worked very well. Now it nags for a very overpriced subscription for the same features in a very disrespectful way. Probably sells your data too. Uninstall / avoid!

The Best Professional 3D Scanning App for iPhone.
I’ve tested just about every iPhone scanning app available, and 3D Scanner App has become my primary tool for clinical prosthetic scanning.
The Photo Mode reconstruction is outstanding. With a good capture workflow, I’m consistently able to generate high-quality meshes suitable for prosthetic design. I’ve successfully scanned hands, feet, faces, and other complex anatomy with results that would have been difficult to achieve on a mobile device just a few years ago.
What really sets this app apart is the desktop application. Being able to process scans on a Mac dramatically improves quality while keeping the capture process simple on the phone. For professional users, this workflow is a major advantage.
The developers also deserve credit for continually improving the software. New features have been added over time, and it’s clear the app is actively developed rather than abandoned.
There are still areas I’d love to see improved:
* Better support for multi-device workflows and screen mirroring during capture.
* More control over camera settings such as exposure and focus locking.
* Additional professional calibration and scaling tools.
* Expanded tools for clinical and photogrammetry workflows.
Despite those requests, this is easily one of the best mobile photogrammetry applications available today. It has become an essential part of my prosthetic workflow, and I recommend it to anyone looking for serious 3D scanning on an iPhone.

Bad app
right when I was about to scan I approved the Camera then the camera wouldn’t work
Has a nag screen for its subscription
Which is, you know, one-star kind of behavior.
I can’t even sign up.
I’ve tried to sign up to this, but it keeps saying my email address is in use. I then go on and say I’ve lost my password and there’s no response. I clicked on the support link and that’s non existent.
Deceptive Advertising
Markets itself as an a- with app purchases. But requires a monthly subscription service to sign in for a free trial. Never even got to see the interface. Deleted immediately.
