Amazing Accuracy and 3D Printing Now
I used this to make miniatures. I love being able to scan some action figures I have and then send them to get 3D printed with color. The accuracy is crazy good and the miniatures I have are out of this world.

Finally!! This is actually what I need. A simple app to that goes straight to the point of 3D modeling. Makes 3D scanning and view super simple. Also like how they’re including fun AI stuff. Love it!

Very cumbersome, hardly works. Couldn’t capture anything good enough to even consider printing. 3D generate from prompts always gets stuck at 50% 60% and never completes. As usual these days, apps don’t work. Jobs wouldn’t have done this.

Sorry you’re having issues with the app. Send us a note at hello@cephalopod.studio. The generation from a prompt does frequently take a bit longer to kick off again after 50%. Let us know how long you’re waiting for in general, it may need a bit more time.
It appears the app has changed its policy.
After we obtained the app legally and for free with a lifetime plan, they decided to force us to pay by adding a separate token that is not included in the lifetime plan. What does this indicate? Where is the integrity and credibility? I'll delete the app even if I like it, because I hate feeling like I've been deceived.

They just added a token system, free premium is what I had. I should still get what was offered. I want the original app. Without the token system.

Nonsensical error during conversion
Scanning a molded plastic piece in attempt to recreate via 3D printing. Successfully scanned three segments, but I receive a nonsensical error and the conversion fails: Request error: “The operation couldn't be completed.

Ah, this is an internal error from inside the operating system frameworks. On the detail page of the model, you should be able to retry the processing if it was a momentary hiccup. If you encounter it again, let us know at hello@cephalopod.studio !

So schön wie das ist aber wenn im internet steht kostenlos ausprobieren und Apple machte damit Werbung und man nur 1x scannen kann und dann für 9.99 Dollar bezahlen iss das für mich totaler qutasch

Ho fatto una prova con la versione gratuita, ho scansionato un oggetto e convertito in STL, è venuto perfetto! Alla fine ho acquistato la versione lifetime

The app is very cool, but needs some improvements.
I hope to add an option that allows you to upload a single image from the studio and convert it into a 3D image. I hope you work hard on this feature.
Great Scanning and Model Generation
I love how easy it was to scan items and get a high quality rendering of those objects. I scanned a few items I needed for a project in a few minutes. I took advantage of the new “wheel” feature as well which made it even easier. I also tried out the mode generator and was amazed how accurate the modes came out.

Don’t even waste your time
It is by far the worst 3D scan app it won’t let you do any scans it says you need a MacBook to do it and idk why I payed for it on the iPhone.

Sorry for the trouble. Please reach out to us for refunds. The app is for scanning using LIDAR, so if LIDAR is unavailable, you can still capture images, but then you'll need to process them on a Mac for offline processing.

This is such a great app. I love how it syncs with the iPhone app as well. I’m able to scan on my iPhone and view all the cool 3-D objects on Vision Pro.
An amazing app especially if you just want to buy it once.
I was looking for a 3D Scanner app which works and I would only need to pay for once. And this app delivers.
The results are to be expected, not 100% perfect. But I’d call it good enough to get started, and based on the results of the export pretty close to dimensionally accurate. (Scanned a battery and compared the results in another piece of software to the actual measurements).
For what I needed Sapling does an amazing job. If I could make a suggestion, I’d recommend adding a way to manual fix or make alterations to the model after it’s finished. Maybe with the Apple Pencil?Oh and a way for the app to work in landscape mode since I personally find it easier to hold.
But honestly these are suggestions as the app works well as it is now. I am just surprised that I couldn’t find it on the App Store, and only knew of it’s existence as a suggestion from Reddit.

Funktioniert und einfach
Hab die App bisher nur einmal benutzt, aber sie ist einfach zu bedienen. Mein erster Scan war die Kaffeetasse vor mir, diese wurde gut gesacsnnt. Die war etwas ungörmig an manchen Stellen, aber das kann auch an mir liegen.
