Very few drawbacks, awesome app!
This app is a wonderful way to breeze through a long read! There are only a few drawbacks: no bookmark feature (meaning you start all over from the beginning if you leave the app), no way to drop the current web page in Safari (or email message in Mail) to the app (requires a copy & paste of the entire text- sometimes tricky on some web sites), etc.
There are only a few serious flaws with the app: 1- there are often words presented before & after a period (kind of breaks the delays for a pause in the text for more natural reading); 2- no pause for excessively long words or names; and 3- the app does not prevent the phone from auto-locking & turning off the screen (worse yet, if your screen does go off & auto-locks, the text does NOT stop playing- so it behaves as if the screen didn't turn off & lock on you).
Overall, however, this is and excellent app!

Not really good
Not the best application Flash reader

I can read so quickly with it.
For studying materials - like journal articles - I start slower, read once, then up the speed again and again. Much greater retention than trying to read just in text!
I would add some other background or font colours so it isn't quite as jarring on the eyes!

Good but missing basic features
Never show words on both sides of a period in a single flash. Periods mean PAUSE.
You should be able to set the approximate number of characters in a single flash. Having each flash display 3 words, for example, helps train for speed reading. Flash reading is not a real substitute for speed-reading because it actually tends to be slower (but it IS a good substitute on tiny mobile devices) You should be able to hold the iPhone horizontally to allow for more characters in a single flash.

Great reader
I like it so much I use it every day.
Great app ! But need more features
It's now so easy to read faster with this app ! But a feature to choose where to start in your text would be a great improvement.
You should also give a preview of the text your reading to se where you are in the text. And the most important improvement would be to see how much time is left before you finish reading

Helps
Intriguing app that I'm finding useful. It keeps your mind focused. My mind tends to rush - trying to absorb a whole page at once & just getting lost. Here you take each word as it comes & absorb everything properly. Am looking forward to the promised speed control (I can deal with faster!) & a library of clips would be good - currently it's one body of text at a time without any save option.
