the closest thing to getting the same quality of news as the paper. even the ads don't get in the way and are sometimes worthwhile. the interface designers have made an elegant, user friendly, and very useful phone interface for getting the news that matters to us fast. if only all program designers were so progressive and end-user focused!Show lesskaywan
App good, editorial choices not so much
Banners & so forth well done. Loads quickly and font size is adjustable for those of us who can't read 4 pt type. Weather good
BUT all the local stories are sports. Most of California is sports. World news is wars and disasters only no politics. Nothing on European financial crisis. Headlines only style.
Technology news pretty poor. Mostly announcements of local classes. From the folks who brought us great email pushed pages like Today in Silicon Valley or whatever that tech news email was.

Terrible uodate
The original was bad. Buggy. Incomplete. It's send mail function never worked right. After repeated support emails, it still doesn't work in the new version. And the repetition of articles is awful. Do I need to see the same headline and the same article 4 or 5 times???
