Terrible App

Palm rejection is crap, os not compatible with apple pen, like come on!, is a drawing app and when you are drawing with apple pen it still taking your fingers as pens…
Not recommended, not even free.

Great for remote tutoring

My tutor and I use this app for virtual/remote tutoring sessions. The tutor also has the app and we share a collaborate whiteboard while on a phone call with each other!

Failed to meet basic needs

the eraser didn’t work -it just drew more. i couldn’t use the app

Response from developer

Hi Jennperson! Were you by any chance using an Apple Pencil (or Pencil-compatible stylus)? If so, using the pencil will always draw on the screen, but if the eraser tool is selected then you can use your finger to erase and the pencil to draw. I can see how that can be confusing and we'll look into adding an option for pencil touches to behave like non-pencil touches. Hopefully this makes SyncSpace usable for you again, and we really appreciate your feedback! Thanks! Sean

Kept crashing

As soon as I clicked over the collaborate button the app crashed. I’m sorry, on that basis, I won’t be investing and I’m out.

Nicely done, with room to improve

This is pretty much what i was hoping to find - an infinite scrolling zooming rotating canvas with text image and freehand drawing.

Will echo desire for Apple Pencil, and have no doubt the developer will deliver eventually.

Wish it had stickers or skins so I could make cuter collaborations :)

Hello and thanks for your review! SyncSpace does have support for Apple Pencil in that it uses the pressure sensor and tilt angle to draw the lines. The pencil also draws on the screen regardless of which tool is selected. One more trick is that tilting the pencil will draw "highlighter" lines which aren't currently possible to do without the pencil. I really should document these features more. Custom made stickers would be great but I'm not sure it's possible to generate them dynamically within an app or if they must be set before the app is published. Please let me know if there are any other specific features you'd like to see added. -Sean

Great app with one fatal flaw

This app does such a great job mimicking use of a whiteboard. I love the colors available and the line sizes, and how user friendly it is.
The fatal flaw: I won't let me connect my Apple Pencil, so when I write on it, my palm constantly makes marks on my screen that I have to erase. It takes up extra time and I wish that it was fully comparable with apple iPads.

Just needs ability to use shapes!

I love the free hand draw but my squares and circles just look a bit sloppy :-|

Best iPad Pro App

This is the best app ever, seriously. I bougth my iPad Pro just for this app. I would have paid 100$ for syncspace. Plus their customer service is very good and fast (I had a problem once after an iOS update, and they fixed it the day after)

SyncSpace is really an extension of your imagination. As a software designer, I use it to sketch interface mock-ups. As a hobbyist mathematician, I use it for my problem solving. The fact that the canvas is infinite gives you a unique sense of limitless possibilities where you can always fit all your ideas into one page.

Buy this app right now. It will exceed your expectations.

Doesn't continue sync if whiteboard tab changed in app

Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tried to add a new whiteboard on my iPad the image on my mac stayed the same even after refreshing.
I hope this will be addressed as I intend to use more than one whiteboard without having to sync again.

Hi hhthain, Each drawing that is shared gets it's own web page/sharing link, so if you create a new drawing, you'll need to open the web page that is associated with that new drawing. If you're looking for the equivalent of starting a new "page" I'd recommend using the move tool (or two-fingered swipes on the screen) to navigate to a new blank portion of the canvas on the iPad as well as the web page. I hope this helps and clarifies how SyncSpace works. Please let us know if we can help in any way with using the app. Best, Sean
