They fixed their bugs!
It used to give me notifications for days I’d said I was unavailable but now they’ve fixed it and it’s perfect!
I highly recommended this app because of all the good you can do for other people.

Great but annoying
I love how easy to use this app is. It’s so user-friendly and intuitive.
I gave it 3 stars because despite entering that I’m available on the weekends for deliveries, I get barraged with annoying notifications during work hours (when I’ve specifically said I’m unavailable).
I hope they fix this soon because this is otherwise a wonderful app.

Help with login, please
The app won’t let me log in. It says I that I have to log in using my Apple ID but never prompts me to do that. I removed the app and downloaded it again. Same thing. I’m stuck. How do I get help? The developer support link doesn’t take me to the app developers. Thanks.

Doesn’t work and not in my area
This app has good intentions but there is nothing offered where I live. I keep getting notifications that I can pick things up but they’re many states away from me, despite having set my location. Frustrating.

We're sorry to hear that you're frustrated, Carynn. This app serves the Pittsburgh region - our name is based on the area code here. So unfortunately it doesn't include food rescues available near you. 412 Food Rescue is part of the larger Food Rescue Hero network, currently covering 11 cities across North America. We do not have any partners in the Key Largo, FL area as of now, but we are always looking to expand our efforts to end food waste and hunger!

Awesome app and service!
The app takes you through the entire rescue from pick up to drop off. Each step of the process is clear and easy to understand. Love it!
Only works if you live in Pennsylvania
The only listings I could find were for halfway across the country. Can’t exactly drive that far in on afternoon
Still buggy
I was a tester before the app was released. The app has been improved since then but has never worked for me. My info is in a database somewhere, I can’t access it or alter it. I can’t log in to the app (even after verifying my cell by code exchange) because “User has already been taken”. I can’t return to the screen to attempt to login through Facebook (also doesn’t work) even after forcing the app to shut. Unfortunately still a buggy app (for a phenomenal charity 👏).
Update - Shoutout to Jacob for whatever he did to rectify the issues with my account. App is working perfectly now. I love the new features since the last time I was able to use app. Really nice! Updated star rating to reflect ⭐️ 👍

New app
I like how the new app gives the distances and quantities of the rescues. This allows you to be more prepared!
Kept crashing
The app only opens momentarily before crashing. I’ve tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app.
Waiver?
The app would not let me do a single thing without signing a waiver. But, there was no way to see a waiver before signing. No one should sign something without seeing it.
An app that makes a different!
412 food rescue, does a great job rescuing food in the greater Pittsburgh area. This app is so easy to rescue food myself!

Great idea
Looking forward to seeing this work. A couple suggestions: the t&c require drivers license, though it is not collected. Remove from t&c as there is no need for it. For that matter, no need for home address since location services is fine for locating. In general, the less personal information you collect the less will be available to hackers. Also what is up with signing a waiver AND agreeing to t&c? No app does that. You are creating needless addition barrier to signup.

Love the concept - app needs work
I love this concept - getting the community involved. The app needs work though. We should be able to put in times/days we are available so that I'm not getting a ton of notifications during work hours. Also, there should be a place where we can enter the radius we are willing to travel according to our location.
