Not worth it
It contains just information about countries in a linear fashion with some grammar mistakes and with a standard index of the countries on the left.
All the maps are totally useless for detail, quality and you cannot move them with your finger as you would with normal maps; you can move them either vertically OR horizontally, but not diagonally or in any other direction. To change from horizontal to vertical you have to zoom out and zoom in again. The quality of the maps will decrease dramatically as you zoom in.
Since the information is more or less what you would find on Wikipedia, sadly I will be deleting this app.
Very upset that I had to pay for this app in order to see if it was what I was looking for. I feel ripped off. The description is deceiving.

Lots of info.
Great app - but
Love the app, but the regional maps all load on their side. When I turn the tablet they turn as well. Therefore, are always on their side. A pain trying to read with my neck at 90 degrees.
Awesome App!
I own ALL the CIA World FactBook apps, and this one is definitely the best! It has THE most features compared to the other apps. It has "photos" from the CIA website (the website has more photos than the app, but I'm sure the app designers did this due to size).
It has EVERY country (the CIA has lumped together countries like Scotland and Wales into England) that the website has, including ALL the data, maps and flags. And even has more than the other apps.
If the designers added ALL the photos from the website, this app would be even more amazing. After all, ther are apps that are 1GB+ in size. Good job!

Where is french ?
The only language this app use, is ENGLISH, the advertise says french, portugese, etc...
When i buy it, i thought it was in french, this is à great déception, this put a negative shadow on this app, i can't say to my relatives to buy it.

Perfect!
I'm impressed actually. The app is over 300Mb big but that's only because of all the photos in the gallery section. So it's quick to open, doesn't need a signal connection to view, and rich contents. Concise version of the website, fairly large text and easy to read. The ranking section is good.
I very rarely pay for apps, but this one I think it was well worth it.

Excellent for Serious Work
This application is very useful when it comes to needing an up to date, thorough and well-detailed source concerning the studies of history and geography. All of the explanations are clear, concise, and yet detailed. In my personal opinion, this app should be downloaded by users intending to use their iPad for work in school/college/work. One concept that I would like to inform the developer for improvement, would be the establishment of hybrid maps, which would enhance the display of the geography of a specific region. Five stars.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!
Took a chance with this app. Was looking for colour pictures with world facts, more like you would expect from an encyclopedia. There were no reviews but bought it any way. Better than I could have possibly hoped for, a give away at $3.99 when compared to some well known names at 3x the price with nowhere near the content. Glad I took the chance. Thanks.
