This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. Important! CollabraCam 3.0 is not compatible with previous versions of CollabraCam. Before starting a session, please make sure that each participant has updated to CollabraCam 3.0. When the director begins a session, all cameras start recording simultaneously and they record the entire time. As the director switches cameras, an Edit Decision List is created. At the end of the session, all of the cameras create clips from their captured video based on the in and out points from the EDL and Camera 1 creates the audio track, then the video and audio is transferred to the director, to assemble the Director’s Cut. The EDL, video and audio can be saved to your computer via iTunes and imported into Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017. Once imported, you can pick up with post right where you left off with capture, ready to tweak in and out points, add titles, transitions and effects... or you can quickly start from scratch and re-edit the footage with Premiere Pro’s Program Monitor multi-camera editing interface. The camera has been improved to increase performance and enhance the user experience... Video Stabilization (for supported devices), Focus and Exposure Lock, Thirds Grid, Zoom and iPhone 7 Plus Dual Camera support. Most importantly, transfer time has been reduced yet again, so you can wrap and review quicker. We appreciate your feedback because we made CollabraCam for you. This is absolutely, positively, without a question the last update for earlier versions of iOS. This release will not to nag you to update unless iOS 10 is installed. The next update will be iOS 10 only and will not be compatible with previous versions. We are very excited to be wrapping up the 3.0 update, the iBook User Guide update and preparing App Store screenshots for release in the coming weeks...

To ensure a quick and smooth transition to CollabraCam 3.0 when it becomes available, we have added an App Store version check to this update.

It's been a long journey to get to this release. We are happy to say it's finally here. Due to hardware limitations, iPad 2 cannot capture 1080p video or export a 1080p movie from CollabraCam to the Camera Roll. If you use iPad 2 as Director with devices capable and set to 1080p video capture, the highest resolution for export of a movie will be 720p; however, If you use camera sources capable of 1080p, set to 1080p, your clips exported to the Camera Roll or to your Mac will still be 1080p since they are exported as the originally captured file. iPad 2 will take longer to create preview and export a 720p movie created with 1080p clips. If you must use iPad 2 as Director, but 720p is ok for clips, switch all camera sources to 720p video capture in the Settings prior to starting a session. The most important change to the user interface is the Camera Status. The previous Camera Status was causing confusion for new users since it looked like a grayed out camera capture button. We are also happy to announce that the First Edition of the CollabraCam User Guide is now available on iBooks. The CollabraCam User Guide was created to help new users learn how to use the app, from start to finish. It’s also great for educators and teachers to help students understand CollabraCam’s easy-to-use, live multicam editing and on-the-fly directing workflow.
