  • Low Light Heaven

I've been looking for a App to perform image averaging ever since getting my iPhone. This App does it and does it extremely well. Of course the subject being photographed must not move and phone must be stationary or mounted to a tripod. It really shines in low light with a high number of images to average.

I was confused as to how to enable full resolution - just go to the iPhone's Settings where you'll find AvgCamPro listed. If the App becomes unstable under full resolution, try powering off (not shutting off) the phone, then reboot/restart - worked for me on a 4S.

    Highly recommended!

  • Fantastic Quality, Missing EXIF Data

Make no mistake: this app is a true gem. Controlling long exposures is a breeze plus there's an exposure lock which is ideal for shifting light conditions. The quality of the photos is fantastic.

It's worth noting the app doesn't currently save location EXIF data. That may or may not be a big deal to most, but I consider it an unfortunate omission. I contacted the developer and he confirms the app does not save this information. Anyone who enjoys seeing their photos on a map or looking up locations when sharing to services like Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, etc should be aware of this. It's the only reason I knock it down to 4 stars.

  • Genius

This is an incredibly well considered and useful photo app. It provides tools to create effects and images I have wanted for years with my iPhone. Bravo to the developer you filled a big void and provided amazing utility. This is a point and shoot replacement app. Thank you.
  • Great app! Missing a few key features.

As has been said before, the resolution has got to be better. At least have an option that will let us turn that on. Also, it needs an exposure lock and focus lock a white balance lock wouldn't hurt either. It's a really powerful app but those features could make it incredible.
  • Wow, what a find!

Got this app because the author created another fave of mine (the recorder). Didn't expect much, have lots of camera apps, but this one is going on my home screen... Yes, useful for low light situations, but it also works remarkably well in normal light. Now the notoriously noisy ipad cam can compete with my little point and shoot.

Note: do look at the instruction video, it explains how to create the custom noise profile for your ipad, further improving the maximum quality possible (in short: put the ipad face down in daylight, put a white sheet of paper over the camera, take 64 or 128 shots, hit the N, and select the image as your noise profile). Now, after you shoot a picture, you can select 'remove banding' to get rid of the chroma noise in your picture which depends on the inherent noise pattern of your camera. Absolutely lovely.

Oh, and the L in the interface seems to stand for Lock (i think this locks the focus and the exposure, but i'm not sure about the latter)

I was just wondering, perhaps this would also be a nice tool to remove moving objects from pictures... Just shoot 128 and if your objects move fast enough, they may just be averaged out. Gonna try that next.

    Highly recommended.

  • As noise-free as a D-SLR

So I saw the review in Wired magazine and decided to check it out. The idea behind this app is very simple, but the results are great. Only thing I'd like to see is a smaller gap between each shot, but I'm guessing that's a hardware constraint. Maybe the ability to sacrifice size for speed? Anyway, I was really impressed.

  • Very cool app

User interface is a little basic, but for the price and description — the results are excellent
  • Wow, great find!

I'm excited to find this great little single-purpose app! Now I have a reason to get an iPhone tripod and to really consider the iPhone a more serious camera tool.

I only wonder, what's the L icon for on the main screen?

Finally, I wish the gain had an option to work more on the darker areas of the image without blowing out highlights.

    Looking forward to future improvements.

  • A great iPhone app for a more serious iPhone photographer

I found this app a little difficult to use at first, but the quick video tutorial quickly brought me up to speed. It's a great app that eliminates noise from a low light area, but it's more than that. You can get some great artistic images by making use of a tripod and blurs.

I would recommend this to people looking to take their iPhone photography up a notch. This app requires a little patience to use, but the results are worth it.

  • Brilliant App

Found this through instagram. Make sure it's steady before shooting.
    Easily worth the 69p :-)

Amazed it's not got many reviews.
