  • Might be Good if The Devs Weren't Greedy

Seems like an app with good potential, but in order to get full details on any plant in your search results, you have to buy an app that costs more than $21. No thanks!
  • Horrible want you to download another app

Horrible wants you to download igarden
  • Easy to use! effective

was struggling to identify an alien looking house plant I have. Other apps proved to be highly ineffective in doing so. After trying 3 other apps I came across this precious gem. It's easy, one narrows down results based on what your plant looks like, and ta-da: House not alien, but an actual plant Asclepias carnosa.
    Thanks!
  • Not accurate

Somehow barberry and euonymus are categorized as "deciduous trees".
  • Sadly, not useful.

    Very small collection. Practically useless.
  • Bare bones start

This method of identifying plants based on specific characters can work well.
Pros: Easy to get started, does not require much experience to narrow the list of possible plants with just a few choices.

Cons: Few plants included in the library, few helps or cues if you are unsure about the choices.

Biggest problem: this app is basically a tool to send you to the developers website for more information. It becomes, in effect, an advertising tool for their other app which costs $15.
  • Very limited

There are very few options for this app. I downloaded it to identify a plant growing next to my house and this app was pretty useless.
