Great app
Found this app very useful and really handy for putting down ideas and sharing with people, if your not too harsh with it it sounds really good. Acoustic sounds sound magic played into the mike at the right distance and level. Any new artist who wants to experiment with new ideas and share with friends, go for it!

Stable & Awesome!!!!
Simple. Great practical features, especially Song function, Voice cut & Background Audio mode.... Reverb is "ok".

App is crap
Recording doesn't record anything. Epic fail.
One Big Disappointment
I wasn't expecting too much of this but since the iRig blurb suggested that the Choir feature was included that was disappointment number 1. Disappointment no 2 came when running the setup in my studio in order to write this review... after five minutes, the few features it does come with stopped working completely. No reverb, no double, no voice trainer, not even the demo. Its not my setup or cabling - Garage Band worked fine right after from the same iPad2. I suspect there are major flaws in this and advise anyone to wait awhile and let the tech develop some more. I'm hopeful that the iRig mic and cable will work with other, better, software - if not its headed back to the maker for a refund.

Lovely
It's simple and does a great job. I received a voice over narration assignment and, using an iRig mike, read the entire script using this software and sent the tracks to the producer directly over email. The narration was edited and cut and done! For quick demos, fast takes, there is nothing like this. I would like to see a graphic EQ so I could adjust the highs and lows of my finished product with setting that I can save so my takes all sound the same day after day.

Best simple but powerful recording app anywhere
This app deserves so much more credit. I have downloaded every other multi track device with "effects" out there and this blows everything out. And no you don't need IRig, the iPhone mic is killer. You have to spend 5 bucks on the multitrack but so worth it. 5 stars all around, buy this app!!!
Useful, but has issues
Just like to say I do like this app, it's very useful for trying out ideas and has plenty of effects (some you have to purchase) which other 4 tracks available on the app store don't. I don't find it crashes very often but my main issue is the way the effects freeze up so you can't get in to change the settings, leading to quitting the app, closing it properly like mentioned in other reviews and trying again, but this dosent even always work and I've had to restart my phone sometimes. If this was fixed I would be much happier with it - update please!

Engine is GREAT / User interface needs work
First thing is first: CHANGE THE ICON. I passed this app over for months and months because I didn't want to download something that wouldn't help me as a songwriter.
Whoever wrote the program's engine is the real hero. Ultra low latency, great lush effects and I love the ability to save your own presets. Possibly the beat engine out of all the other apps I've been downloading for the last 2 years.
However, the interface needs some serious work in the navigation and chaining of effects. I can't figure out the relationship between the favorites and the presets. The screen I'm in doesnt tell me. Bottom line, the navigation needs work and maybe the entire interface needs a refresh to be taken more seriously. Its gotta start with that barbie doll / American idol wanna-be icon.
Rip a page out of Sonoma wireworks 4 track app. It's nice and clean and at the end of the day, simplicity with a great engine wins, not just one or the other.
Market this as an alternative to Sonoma's 4 track recorder and they'll finally have some competition.
